How Much Water Should We Drink Each Day?

I only drink water, tea and raw juice.   There are a lot of different opinions on this.  We need to drink half our weight in ounces each day (100 ounces for a 200 lb person), but I believe that is the bare minimum.  We need to consume 1 – 2 gallons (4 – 8 liters) of water each day.

Proper hydration is the cornerstone to health and the most important thing we can do for our health is stay properly hydrated.

We need to flush the digestive system between meals.  Never drink water before or during a meal or 45 – 60 minutes after a meal.  You will have better digestion if you stay away from water around mealtime.

Never drink more than one liter per hour. No more than two gallons per day.

Fasting is the healthiest thing we can do for our health. It gives the body a chance to Cleanse, Rest and Repair itself.

When people complain about drinking so much water I remind them that I would rather go to the bathroom 1000 times than to go the doctor’s once.

Bob McCauley, ND (Robert F., Jr.) was raised in Lansing, Michigan and attended Michigan State University (BA, 1980 in Journalism). He earned his doctorate in Environmental Engineering in less than 2 years, one of the shortest doctoral studies in the history of MIT. He taught civil, sanitary and environmental engineering at Michigan State University for 18 years before retiring to run Wolverine Engineers & Surveyors of Mason, Michigan, for 17 years. His reputation throughout Michigan as a water quality expert was legendary. Bob worked for his father's company for 12 years learning the water business, which dealt primarily with municipalities, including water quality and sanitary sewer issues. After apprenticing with his father, Bob moved on to the bottled water business. He established greater Michigan's biggest selling bottled water: Michigan Mineral – Premium Natural Water. He was introduced to Ionized Water in 1995 and has done more to promote Ionized Water than anyone else in the industry. Bob often lectures and offers seminars on his Seven Component Natural Health Protocol . Bob is a Certified Nutritional Consultant and a Certified Master Herbalist.     I love water. I drink Kangen water to stay extra hydrated.

    I drink about a gallon of water per day, I drink lots of water as I ride my bike to work. I’ve found that alkaline water leaves me feeling the most hydrated. I urge everyone to get into the “water habit” once you get used to feeling well-hydrated, you won’t ever want to go back to being thirsty!

    Did you know that dehydration increases your risk for heart attacks? The increased risk is caused by the blood becoming thicker as you get dehydrated. Studies prove that even 2% dehydration significantly increases your risk of a heart attack!

  3. I find that when I am hungry, I am usually not hungry… but thirsty. Drinking water helps me stay my proper weight.
