Everyone thinks I'm out to get Mercola, but the guy is no. 1 and I disagree sometimes with him. Some are important and contrary to my health protocol. On balance, I like Mercola and he does a good job, but he differs a lot from my health protocol. Therefore, I point those differences out.

I am against fish oil because there are better sources of astaxanthin found in algae in my opinion. Fat is difficult and expensive to extract, and it contains more toxins than any other part of the body. Therefore, I recommend you avoid fat derived from the animal world.

Although everyone has a piece of the puzzle, you missed the number one reason why Dr. Mercola recommends Krill Oil. It is the antaxanthin, a great antioxidant. Antaxathin is available in smaller amounts, but is plentiful in krill. Also, krill is harvested from rather pristine waters. I value Dr. Mercola's research and why he recommends the products. His interviews with leading professionals is great, like Dr. N. Gonzalez and Dr. Klinghardt. As to his support of animal products, a lot of health professionals follow the Price-Potter approach, but Mercola does use metabolic typing in determining that there is not one diet for everyone. I guess criticizing someone successful has benefits.

Hello, I'm a healthy guy we talked before. I'm on a high antioxidant, organic vege, fruit, nut, and grass fed dairy. I just had radio frequency catheter ablation for svt which is rapid heart beat. This exposes me to some radiation I think around 15 msv.... I researched and it says it increases my chance of fatal cancer by 0.33 percent which is lifetime risk of 294 out of one million persons. I took organic chlorella before procedure and since ablation I have been eating tons of chlorella, spiulina, kelp, and organic nori sheets. Will this truly help get this radiation out of my body ? Also do you think the people who did get fatal cancer out of that million had pre existing conditions maybe? And also who knows if these took all these greens...you think I'll be ok? I heard the 3D mapping can reduce radiation and it depends on the time of the procedure.. my was around an hour and a half....my Dr was Dr.Mohammed Khan he studied at Cleveland Clinic. Another main point....question? When I am taking all these things and doing all these things will the msv level go down inside my body??? the radiation will be depleted from me ?

Perspective is everything, and belief colors our interpretation of facts. I appreciate that you have pointed out some of the inaccuracies in what Dr. Young preaches (and I chose that word deliberately). His credibility is affected by the hyperbole he chooses to engage in, and I question where he gets much of his data. I wish there were a broader group of scientists who could speak accurately about the issues we are all concerned with ... the importance of the right water, how to get it, how to maintain appropriate alkalinity of the body.

However, Bob, you also advocate a diet that is not reasonable for many people and not always the best choice. I am more and more convinced that we are metabolically individuals ... some of us thrive with animal protein (preferably clean and wild). Metabolic typing teaches that there are 16 different physiologic mechanisms that determine acid/alkaline balance ... we differ individually on each of them and what makes you alkaline may do the opposite for me. (And in some cases, something works for nearly everyone, like ionized alkaline water.)

I know that Campbell's interpretation of the China Study data is used to support vegetable protein diets, but I just read a deconstruction of that which is incredibly revealing. http://rawfoodsos.com/2010/07/07/the-china-study-fact-or-fallac/#comment-19981

If we want to use science to support our recommendations, we need to be real scientists and remove our biased lenses when looking at the data. Hard to do, but if we don't we are no better than Big Pharma, FDA and the Medical-Industrial Cabals.

Dear sir,
Is mineral water such as piere mineral water just as good?
I don't have hundreds of $'s for a system is there a less expensive way that I can receive the same benefits?
Also is one form of the bottled kind better then the other?Such as the Piere or the kind that Walmart sells?
I have so many heath issues and try to educate myself with the best knowledge I can.

Thank~you,
Shene' Walsh

She is an interesting paradox to be sure, but the food channel itself is afraid of
healthy cooking and has not been open to a VEGETARIAN program.
Deen knew about her diabetes for two or three YEARS before disclosing it to us,
not MONTHS as you have stated. Who would want to reveal that truth when they
"enjoyed' their cooking and was making good money with tv shows and cookbooks?, a contradiction to be sure. People all make their own choices and as the saying goes
"we dig our graves with our teeth".

I am so with you on this. It's not so much that in the past she may have lacked enlightenment as to what is right and what is wrong, she has now stepped over the line. Where in the begining of her career she just new that she liked to cook and share her good tasting recipes, she is now promoting ill health so she and the pharmaceutical company can profit. These are not the actions of a person filled with God's light & goodness. For that kind of person would have taken a deep look at thier crisis and said "There must be a lesson to be learned from my illness. How can I learn it, change, and then help others to change?"

God's light shines in all of us, some just brighter then others. How sad it is that she chooses to dim her source. But I am reminded that we are all here for our own lessons and come into this life at different stages of learning. I forgive her for what she is doing and like you will work harder at educating others to counter the negative energy she sends out.
