What is Spirulina?
Spirulina is NOT an algae. Spirulina is a cyanobacteria (blue bacteria). It is unlike any other food on the planet. It is one of the two most powerful foods known. Every plant on earth evolved from chlorella, a green algae. Although spirulina and chlorella have similar nutritional profiles they are completely different foods.
Like Chlorella, it is 60% protein and has the broadest array of nutrients of any food. These are the only two foods known that you could live on exclusively and get all the nutrients you require. I personally take chlorella and/or spirulina with every meal since the protein will help you body digest it’s food. It’s the healthiest food you can consume.
