The Whole Food Raw Diet (How to Begin Moving Toward a Raw Food Diet)

There is no need to diet. In fact, the few diets that do work only manage to keep the weight off people for a relatively short period of time. What is required is a steady diet of foods that provide the body with the exact nutrients it needs. If we do this, the body is not constantly crying out that it is starved for nutrients of every kind.

Almost every diet I have run across tries to trick the body metabolically into losing weight.Raw Food Pyramid_Card They combine this protein with this carbohydrate or they eliminate fat or carbohydrates entirely from the diet. Sometimes protein is eliminated or foods are rotated or re-combined in the diet and all this is suppose to cause people to lose weight. Ironically, all that has ever been needed is a natural diet of Raw Fruits and Vegetables, anchored with powerful, high protein foods such as Spirulina and Chlorella. It is the healthiest, most natural and economical way to live. Raw Foods prevent disease, provide the body with rejuvenating nutrients and allow for a balanced body that will not become overweight. Being overweight is not natural for a human. Only certain animals gain weight to make it through the winter such as bears. Obesity is an extreme condition where the body is completely out of balance in every way. It has been so starved for nutrients that the body’s most basic daily chemical reactions no longer occur. Instead, these enzymic and hormonal sequences and reactions are greatly altered if not entirely missing. What could we expect to receive from that kind of scenario other than a complete mess resulting in diabetes, cancer, obesity, arthritis, etc. What we lack most in our diet are enzymes, which only come from Raw Foods. They other thing we lack is an adequate amount of water, which we are often trained to avoid from birth.

Our eating habits traditionally couldn’t be further from what they ought to be if we want to remain healthy and be at our natural weight. We began consuming highly processed foods nearly a century ago and it has taken its toll, considering that one in three people will get cancer in their lifetime. This is a staggeringly high percentage considering that cancer was still relatively uncommon before 1920. The more processed foods enter into a country’s diet, the more those people begin to develop cancer. For instance, Korea has taken on the western fast food, processed food diet over the past 30 years and the result has been escalating stomach cancer rates. Japan sees the same trend for the same reason. Take a fast food meal of pizza or a burger and fries. There is little or no nutrition in either of those. They are void of fiber, which is critical to human health.

I will be the first to admit that the Raw Food Diet approach is not conventional, but it really is not a diet in the traditional sense. It is simple a natural way to eat and live. Eating that way will return the body to its natural state and weight loss will occur naturally and healthily. We have been cooking our food for millennium and cooked foods will certainly always be a part of our diet. Part of the question is, how much can we limit cooked foods in our diet. The ideal is to eat a 100% Raw Food diet, but that is difficult to achieve, even for someone like myself who has been actively promoting the Raw Food diet for years now. Eating Raw Foods is a way of life and to begin to eat the healthiest food you could possibly put in your body, you need to change your lifestyle. You start by limiting your cooked food diet as much as possible. To do that you should start each meal by eating as much raw foods as possible. That means trying to have a larger salad than you might be use to and don’t use lettuce, it’s a weak food that contains little, and in some cases, no food value. This primes the stomach for the cooked foods that are many times more difficult to digest and extract nutrients from than Raw Foods.

Eventually, we stop creating metabolic enzymes because of the body’s constant demand for the digestive enzymes it needs to attend to high maintenance cooked foods. All Raw Foods are self-digesting, meaning that they require no special attention or extra enzymes to be digested.

The Raw Food Diet is a far more economical way for the average person to eat compared to a traditional cooked food, processed food diet. Regarding nutritional content, processed foods, those that come in jars, boxes, cans, etc, are astronomically expensive compared to the nutrients that are readily assimilated by the body from Raw Foods.

Taste Rules

We eat Cooked Foods for once reason: Taste. We eat meat for taste exclusively. We eat dairy products, which should be completely avoided, because of taste. Dairy products create large amounts of mucous in our bodies and have been linked to many diseases, including cancer. Eggs are a very acidic food containing inferior protein types that are difficult to digest, because we cook them.

Cooking foods, however, removes 90% of the rejuvenating properties of the food and transforms it into mere sustenance, not something that renews. Your food may taste better because it is cooked, but your health will suffer because of it, now and even more in the future. Eating Raw Foods is about longevity, but even more it is about quality of health today and tomorrow. Food tastes better when it is cooked and it tastes better when it is contains fat. Once we recognized this, at least we understand what we are doing to the body when we eat cooked foods, especially when our diet is largely composed of cooked foods. When we begin eating Raw Foods and supplementing the diet with Spirulina and Chlorella, the basic nutritional needs of the body are met. Once that happens, the body stops constantly crying out to us that we need to take in more nutrients to meet the body’s basic requirements. Weight loss under these circumstances naturally and healthily follows.

The Importance of Fat In the Diet

It is crucial that 10-20% of the diet is comprised of Fat. However, animal fat is essentially useless to the body. Only fat that comes from fresh fruits and vegetables is good for the body. If the fat has been cooked, then it has been denatured and therefore is altered from its original state. While it still has benefit to the body, it has greatly diminished its value from its natural state. This is also true for any food, once cooked, its nutritional value is greatly diminished. Profound things happen when fat comes in contact with the body’s cells, but whether that effect is of benefit is determined by whether it is a vegetable fat or animal fat.

“Essential fatty acids are required by the body and are found in abundance in the vegetable kingdom in foods such as avocado, sesame oil, olive oil, flaxseed oil, black and wild rice, almonds, hazelnuts, Spirulina and Chlorella. These are monounsaturated fats with antioxidant qualities that fend off arterial damage from LDL cholesterol.” Confessions of a Body Builder, pg 46.

What is wrong with other Diets?

There are three kinds of foods required by the body: Fat, Carbohydrates and Proteins. Other than organic chemicals substances, enzymes and water, there is nothing else that the body requires. And all three of these are required by the body with each meal. Removing one of them completely will cause the body to be thrown out of metabolic balance. It may lose weight quickly, but hormone levels will be thrown out of balance, pH may drop, enzymes may not be produced in sufficient numbers. The possibilities are endless, but what is certain is that doing something as unnatural as completely removing one of them will throw the body out of balance. And once the food group is reintroduced, there is no telling what will happen to the delicate balance of the body due to this removal and reintroduction.

For example, eating a lot of sugar at once will cause a surge of insulin to be produced by the pancreas, which will cause a “sugar crash”. Done often enough exposes one to the risk of developing diabetes.

How To Begin a Raw Food Diet

  1. We begin a Raw Food diet by eating 2-3 grams Spirulina and Chlorella before every meal. Augment your traditional breakfast of cereal, oatmeal, pancakes, eggs and bacon with fruit. Fruit contains simple carbohydrates or sugar that will be burned easily and immediately by the body, which will provide us with a lot of energy. Sugar is the fuel of the body and sugar provided to the body through raw fruit is organic in nature and will never cause a problem for us. Refined sugar found in soft drinks and nearly every processed food on the market is quite a different story and should be avoided. It is acidic to the body and causes an overabundance of insulin to be produced, which will eventually cause an unbalanced state in the body. We balance by eating alkaline foods such as Spirulina, Chlorella, fresh fruit and other Raw Foods.
  1. Remove meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy products as your main protein source, which are acidic, and replace it with Spirulina and Chlorella, which are alkaline. You can also get rid of your vitamin and mineral supplements once you begin taking Spirulina and Chlorella since they contain all the vitamins and minerals your body needs in a natural state that makes them so much more powerful than the extracts and concentrates that most vitamins and minerals are made of.
  1. Begin each meal with a salad of any kind as long as it is full of Raw Foods. Lettuce is a weak filler and should be avoided. Eat heartier greens such as kale, spinach, greens, parsley, and sprouts as the base of your salad. Fill up on the salad as much as possible to make it as large a part of your diet as possible.
  1. Eat fatty foods and starchy carbohydrates in the evening because they are more difficult to digest and will provide you with a better night’s sleep. Eaten during the day, they will cause fatigue and drowsiness.
  1. Always take a tablet that contains the bacteria for your stomach. There are 7 different bacteria in your body and each performs a different function in a different part of your digestive track. Your body CANNOT take in nutrients and keep its digestive track clean without these bacteria present at all times. If you have bad breath, your digestive track has stalled and your food is rotting in your stomach. A tablet with this friendly bacteria will clear that problem within a few hours of taking it.
  1. Add fresh squeezed juices to your diet. They CANNOT come from a carton or from concentrate if you intend to get any true benefit from them.

Consuming Raw Foods is less a diet than a lifestyle. You are replacing the foods that have been denatured by cooking with those that the body must have to remain healthy. And no diet in the world will work, nor will it be healthy, without adequate amounts of the most important element required by the body. The best water to drink is Ionized Water.

Raw Foods and the Biggest Myth Ever

The biggest myth that has been perpetuated through the centuries and remains well established to this day is that a diet comprised mostly of cooked foods is healthy.

As a species we have only eaten cooked foods for a very short period of time. To put it into perspective with an analogy, if we started walking and did not stop for three days that is how long we have been living on a raw food, uncooked diet. If we then took seven more steps, that is how long we have been cooking our food. We are the only species in the world that cooks our food and we are the only species that gets sick except for the pets we domesticate and put on a processed food diet.

The first thing we need to understand about cooked foods is that they are an addiction . There are healthy and unhealthy addictions. Cooked foods are an unhealthy addiction because they are detrimental to the body for several reasons. When we do something strictly for the pleasure of it and not for any other reason and we can’t stop doing it, that should be considered an unhealthy addiction. To say that eating raw foods are an addiction is a misnomer because the nutrients in raw foods are required by the body in order for it to be healthy, therefore raw foods should not be considered an addiction.

These are weighty ideas not spoken lightly because it is a pronouncement that cooked foods prematurely age the body and lead to all chronic disease. Once we recognize this, we can begin to treat our addiction to them. None of us want to ever admit any addiction to anything, let alone something that has been at the core of our lives since we can remember. We are taught that disease is inevitable and who it strikes often seems to be random in nature. It is most difficult to remove an addiction from our life. All addictions are physical, psychological and/or emotional and therefore are worldly in nature. Thus, removing worldly addictions from our lives it is a spiritual event that raises us higher. We all have certain foods that we like and have a hard time avoiding. With me, those foods are pizza and chocolate. But I find that the more I stay away from them, the easier they are to avoid. Like anything else that we are addicted to, we must completely stay away from those substances because the temptation to go back to them could be too strong to resist. A person can jump into raw foods with both feet and end their cooked food addiction cold turkey and do well. But that person is the exception. Most of us need to transition slowly into the raw food life and this should be done by increasing our intake of raw foods and decreasing our intake of cooked foods each day.

We spend our childhood being conditioned to eat cooked foods. Raw foods are all but shunned for the most part. Even in the womb we receive nutrients in a diminished capacity from our mother’s body, that of cooked, denatured foods. Therefore the natural state of the body is never realized and we live our lives in a body that is completely different from the body that nature intended us to have something like an alter-body like that of an alter-ego. It exists in a way that nature did not intend it to exist. A body fed mostly cooked foods is different in many ways from the natural body. The body that is fed cooked, denatured foods is a denatured body. Its immune system is weak. Its organs produce diminished quantities of enzymes that a natural body does. The pH of the denatured body is usually acid, therefore abnormal. The denatured body’s hormonal balance is at greater risk of destabilizing, leading to a cascading effect of one’s health problem leading to another, which is why doctors have such a hard time identifying which disease a person actually has sometimes. Warnings of all kinds manifest themselves in the body of the cooked foodist. Acid reflux, joint pain, bowel problems are amongst the first to appear.

It is like a building that is designed to be constructed and maintained using one particular set of materials, but another set of materials is actually used in it. Thus, the entire structure, in this case the body, is constructed of interior materials that are destined to lead to maintenance problems, in this case meaning chronic disease of every kind.

Cooked foods unnaturally and prematurely deform the body. In extremes cases, it makes people chair-ridden, even bed-ridden by the time they’re in their fifties. Death in these cases is slow and agonizing. It becomes for some a living death with intermittent trips to the hospital as they slowly waste away over a period of many years. And with each return from the hospital, the body is a little more diminished and less likely to fully recover as drugs are prescribed one on top of another.

The craving for cooked foods that is conditioned into the mind and body itself has no connection whatsoever with the actual nutritional demands of the body. The appetite of the cooked foodist is insatiable because the body’s nutritional needs are never entirely met. This leads to gluttony and other eating disorders that simply are not to be found in the wild. A bear or bird does not suffer from acid reflux or obesity. A raw foodist does not have these types of eating disorders. In fact, there is no evidence of chronic disease in the wild of any kind. No one has ever shot a deer, taken it home, cut it open and found it full of cancer for instance. All addictions are an outgrowth of unnatural circumstances. Disease itself is NOT a natural part of the human condition.

A chronic cooked food diet manifests itself by grossly disfiguring the body as it ages. Thighs begin to look like cottage cheese, bellies become sacks of flab as do chins, arms and breasts. Chronic lack of exercise adds to the grotesque features of bodies deprived of the enzymes that are found only in raw foods .

When you are sick, your doctor prescribes a drug for your problem, let’s say arthritis. The chances of your arthritis being cured at any time in your life from that or any other visit to the doctor’s office are zero. Drugs don’t cure chronic disease, they treat its symptoms and outer manifestations, but they do not rid the body of disease. Disease is opportunist and springs to life in your body from living on a diet of cooked foods, which deposits small amounts of acid waste in the joints in the body, which have manifested itself as rheumatoid or arthritis.

The raw food diet is 100% successful in preventing and even curing the body of all disease each and every time it is tried. Many will ask why they have never heard this before if all this is true. I don’t know the answer to that question, but now you know the truth. When it comes to health Raw Foods Rule!

Fitness, Exercise & Motivation – The Path to Perfect Health

The live food movement is the new paradigm, the next order of how health and disease are beginning to be perceived. It is a total approach to health that stresses water, live nutrition, exercise and high energy motivation. The Arnold Fitness EXPO is the largest EXPO of its kind where people come from all over the world to learn the latest about fitness and bodybuilding, but there is much more to being fit than simply exercising and endlessly pouring down powered health drinks. We are missing a huge health component when we concentrate exclusively on looks and building mass and not enough on diet and what truly leads to great health. And the good news is that we can have both, a great look and great health. We now recognize that medicine and health are two entirely different approaches that don’t conflict with one another other than to force people to make a choice as to which path they will choose to achieve health.

There are three pillars of Great Health. Most bodybuilders and other athletes work hard to obtain two of those health pillars, exercise and a positive mental attitude or motivation . By neglecting the first pillar, nutrition and water, we only destroy the very foundation of what we are trying to achieve: a healthy, sculpted, athletic body. We don’t obtain the perfect body we desire when we don’t eat a truly healthy diet. We cheat ourselves out of health and appearance.

Health and Bodybuilding

Until now, the worlds of bodybuilding and true health have not coincided. Bodybuilding today still revolves around various supplements such as creatine and whey protein. The body creates some of these substances through its natural processes. For instance, creatine is created by the body from amino acids. However, when we consume synthetic forms of these substances, the body may still use them to build muscle, but not without a cost to the body’s overall health. Some of these substances do not belong in the body whatsoever because they cause great detriment to our health. Whey protein, whether derived from a cow or goat, contains a protein structure that may appear on paper to be exactly what the body needs, but how the body handles it is an entirely different matter that causes severe imbalances in the body that can eventually lead to disease.

We can stay healthy and carve our bodies into the shape we want. To do this, we are use to pain and sacrifice, but to be truly healthy it takes a kind of sacrifice that most of us are not use to. Moving to the healthiest diet known will take more discipline than you can imagine because you will be required to change one of the most fundamental parts of your life, the diet you grew up with and are conditioned to believe is healthy. The diet we all live on is the cooked food diet, which leads to all disease.

Bodybuilders do two dangerously unhealthy things to themselves. They acidify and dehydrate their bodies. They acidify it through their diet and with exercise and then deliberately dehydrate it, especially before a competition, to make themselves look better. There is nothing worse for the body than acidifying and dehydrating it. It is why bodybuilders suffer from kidney, liver, heart disease, as well as a host of other health problems at such relatively young ages. None of these processes are natural nor are the diseases that result from them. We prematurely age ourselves with the cooked food diet, unnecessarily expose ourselves to disease and bodybuilders are more guilty of this than any other group of athletes. A hard working bodybuilder appears to be a picture of perfect health as his or her muscles ripple and flex. It is the human body sculpted into a work of art, but often that body is deteriorating within, rife with disease. It does not have to be this way.

My health protocol seeks to reverse the unhealthy things bodybuilders and other athletes do to themselves by opening their minds to the incredible world of natural foods, powerful nutraceuticals such as Spirulina and Chlorella and Ionized Water, the most important substance for our bodies.

Reverse Aging

We can reverse the aging process without hormone replacement or other artificial means. We can have the body that we had when we were in our twenties regardless of chronological age. We prematurely age ourselves, both internally and externally. Our faces show age more profoundly and at an earlier age when we acidify and dehydrate it. Bodybuilding is all about look and strength. When we move to the raw food diet, coupled with proper hydration of the body, we can have both the look we want and the health we deserve. When we talk about reversing the aging process, we are talking about reversing it biologically, not chronologically.

Building Bodies – The Problem of Protein

One of the nutrients the bodybuilding world currently revolves around is whey protein because its builds body mass. On paper, whey protein looks like a sensible, healthy choice. Unfortunately dairy products are one of the worst things we can possibly put in the body for a number of reasons. They create huge amounts of mucus in the body and the amino acid structure of whey protein throws the body completely out of homeostasis or balance. Specifically, the amino acid ratio is unbalanced, meaning that there is a large amount of one amino acid and not enough of others. This kind of imbalanced protein encourages disease more than anything else, which is why doctors often tell cancer patients to avoid meat and dairy because they know it will exacerbate the problem.

The Protein Solution

If we examine plant based amino acids, we find that they are naturally in the correct amino acid ratio to one another. Dairy products of any kind are wrong for the human body because are putting the milk and hormones of another species in our bodies. We are the only species to consume milk past infancy and the only species that consumes the milk of another species.

The Most Powerful Foods Known

Spirulina and Chlorella, two types of algae, are a superior source of protein for many reasons, including the fact that they alkalize the body instead of acidifying it the way animal protein does. These two foods are 60% protein, far higher than any other natural food. They have a full compliment of amino acids in the correct ratio to one another along with the broadest array of nutrients of any foods. They are both considered perfect foods. Although it would not be ideal, a person could live on either of them exclusively and be quite healthy. Bodybuilders must learn to use this type of plant protein as many have begun to do with great success. I work out everyday, running 3-7 miles along with upper body work. Since including these two superfoods in my diet, my stamina, recovery times and overall performance have improved dramatically.

Diet Plans We Should Fear

Traditional diet plans play around with the carbohydrate, fat and protein ratio of foods we consume. High fat, high protein diets allow the body to lose weight quickly, however they cause the body great harm and have even killed people. This happens because these diets meddle with the natural balance of protein, fats and carbohydrates that the body has evolved on over millions of years. When we tinker with it, the body falls out of homeostasis and opens itself up to all disease. One of the central components of the raw food diet is detoxification. Some people have complained that going on the raw food diet made them sick, but really it only detoxified the person, which gave them symptoms of disease such as headaches, rashes, diarrhea and fatigue. They were healing, but unfortunately mistook it for illness. Simply stated, toxins are substances that don’t belong in the body. There are very mild toxins and very dangerous toxins such as heavy metals. Disease lives on toxins and we create a toxic environment in the body by living on a cooked food diet. Raw foods detoxify the body in every way, just the opposite of what cooked foods do, which is deposit their toxins. As these toxins are removed, the diseases of the body leave with it because they have nothing to live on.

Which Water to Drink

It is difficult for the body to get water from any source other than water itself. Water is the centerpiece of health, yet most people ignore it completely. The single biggest health mistake most people make, including bodybuilders, is not drinking enough water everyday. We need to drink half our body weight in ounces every day just to replace the amount of water we lose. Unfortunately, most of us reach for something other than water when we are thirsty. Or we eat something to quench our thirst, which is even worse. We have conditioned ourselves not to drink water and this is the most dangerous thing we do to our health.

There is nothing more important for the body than water, however, most health and medical professionals know very little about water, nor do they promote it. I have been in the bottled water business since 1993. Most of the water sold in health food stores is purified, either through distillation or reverse osmosis, meaning that all the minerals have been removed from the water. Unfortunately there is nothing healthy about purified water. It acidifies the body, does not hydrate it well and leaches vital minerals from the body. Spring or mineral bottled water is usually good quality and is fine to drink. But the best water by far is Ionized Water. It is a powerful antioxidant that provides the body with lots of oxygen and therefore lots of energy. It is very alkaline, which helps to balance the body’s pH and bring it into homeostasis. This is critical because all disease lives in an acid environment in the body, but will not live in an alkaline environment. The size and shape of ionized water molecule clusters are very small, about half the size of conventional water molecule clusters, therefore it is extremely hydrating. And as it hydrates the body tissue better than it ever has before it pushes out all the things that don’t belong there, which are commonly known as toxins. Ionized Water is extremely detoxifying, which is why there are various levels of ionization strength on a water ionizer so we can begin drinking Ionized Water slowly and don’t detoxify too quickly.

Cooked Foods vs. Raw Foods

Cooked foods are poison. The first time I read that statement I thought it was ridiculous that anyone would believe that cooked foods are actually harmful to the human body. It took a few years of eating raw foods to actually understand how true that statement is. Cooked foods are an addiction that acidify the body and provides it with little, if any, nutrition. If you don’t believe they are an addiction, try going a single day without them. Only raw foods rejuvenate the body because they have enzymes and organic chemical substances that are not denatured, or destroyed, by cooking. Heat is a chemical reagent thus we are chemically scrambling and destroying the nutrients when we cook food. We find no evidence of chronic disease in the wild because animals don’t cook their food. In fact, we find of disease at all amongst animals until we domesticate and put them on a processed food diet at which point we begin to find every disease in them that we find in ourselves.

The Source of All Disease

Raw foods alkalize, detoxify and rejuvenate the body in every way. Cooked foods acidify and deposit toxins in the body, creating an environment that is conducive to disease. Disease only lives in a toxic environment. All disease stems from the cooked food diet and worst of all are processed and junks foods such as soft drinks and even breakfast cereals that many of us consider so healthy. Many people believe that disease is inherited, but what we really inherit is unhealthy dietary habits, eating certain foods, living a dietary lifestyle like that of our parents and it is these habits that give us the same diseases that our parents and siblings have.

How to Begin

The human body is capable of healing itself of any disease. The raw food diet is 100% successful in curing disease each and every time it’s tried. Moving to the raw food diet is a profound change in lifestyle and the move must be slow and deliberate. We must stop putting the wrong things in our bodies and start putting in the right things, which are the powerful raw foods that nature provides us with. One place to start is with a salad before each meal that grows in size each day and week and month while our cooked food meal that follows shrinks in size proportionally. There is a whole world of raw foods and amazing ways they can be prepared to taste wonderful that the vast majority of us are completely unaware of.

The New Health Paradigm

The same bland message is repeated to us year after year about health and bodybuilding by the same voices. The words of that message are juggled to sound different each time they are delivered, but it is the same message that serves more to confuse rather than educate us on what true health really is. The message of raw foods and the New Health Paradigm has never truly been given a proper forum to be heard. As athletes, I believe it is time we heard this message so we can get on with the important business of being healthy. No matter how great we may look, it is worthless if our bodies are not healthy.

The body is an incredible machine that can prevent and cure itself of any disease. It is a temple that we must honor by nourishing and building it to its greatest potential. Considering the escalating cost of health care that is spiraling out of control, the need to have this message heard in the mainstream is more critical now than ever. I personally don’t have health insurance and it is by choice. While I do have accident insurance in case something happens, I will never spend another dime on something I will never need, and that is a doctor.

The world of bodybuilding and fitness has two components of what we must do to Achieve Great Health, that of regular, strenuous exercise and having a positive mental attitude. We must discover the missing piece of the health puzzle, that of Ionized Water and raw nutrition. It is the new paradigm of true health where disease no longer exists. It is time this message is brought out of the fringes and into the mainstream.

Raw Foods Rule

“Cooked foods are Poison” – Nature’s First Law

We are designed to live 120-150 years, yet making it to 100 without the onset of senility is next to impossible. Your chances of contracting Alzheimer’s or some Dementia-related disease by age 85 is now 50/50. This occurs because of toxin accumulation in the body, particularly the brain, which it is prone to because of its texture and material it is composed of. It is also the most difficult place to hydrate in the body. Toxins accumulate after a lifetime of eating cooked foods and not drinking enough water. Over the years, denatured (cooked) foods deposit acid waste and a plethora of other toxins throughout the body, especially accumulating in the joints, in and around the organs and in the brain. Dementia related diseases are a sure sign of a lifetime of chronic dehydration. Every time you take a sip of water, 80% of it is used by the brain, especially to supply the cranial fluids. When we fail to do this over a lifetime, toxins begin to interfere with the brain’s delicate chemical balance. Once a single chemical reaction in the brain is stopped or significantly altered, the ripple effect will be felt throughout the brain. How it will manifest itself exactly will depend on the person’s background, diet, etc.

Reversing these psychiatric conditions is not easy, but can be done to some degree by following the Raw Food Rules and drinking 2-3 gallons of Ionized Water each day. I drink 2 gallons myself everyday and it’s not hard to do at all.

All foods contain certain levels of natural toxins in them such as heavy metals. For instance, Chlorella contains lead as well as other toxins, however they are minute and will not deposit in the body because it is fresh, i.e. raw, NOT denatured by cooking, pasteurizing or other forms of processing. Examine any food, organic or commercially grown, and you will find toxins that deposit in the body in dangerous levels only when it is consumed after it is cooked or otherwise denatured.

I would like to point out that it is difficult to get Chlorella manufacturers to admit these toxins exist in their products, however there are a few who openly speak of it. However, these toxins will be removed when the food is consumed raw. Chlorella is famous for removing heavy metals such as lead, which is why toxins consumed with raw vegetables are not deposited in the body.

Chronic disease doesn’t exist in the wild. Animals don’t have the long life span that we could have if we wanted. But there or other things to consider with animals in the wild.

Raw Foods Rejuvenate, Cooked Foods Merely Sustain

When you eat raw foods, you know you are really eating something. Its full nutritional power is in your mouth and your taste buds are sending a myriad of passionate signals to the brain: hot, sour, bitter, sweet, strong. When you cook food, you tame it, de-claw it, rob it of savage vitality as well as its ability to renew and cleanse the body at a cellular level. It’s the enzymes and other organic chemicals that explode on your pallet to announce they are full of life renewing qualities. Raw foods are immediately absorbed by the body because of the presence of enzymes in the food. It is for the same reason that the nutrients in raw foods are so readily available to the body and are many times more easily digested by the body.

Cooked foods are a great deal of labor for the body to digest, absorb nutrients from and pass through. Deep fried foods pose the greatest difficulty in this regard.

Raw Foods essentially come pre-digested, meaning they are ready to be absorbed by the body and do not have to be digested. Cooked foods require enormous bodily resources, especially enzymes, to be digested.

People don’t stop to consider what they are putting in their body because they are not educated on nutrition. Instead, sadly, we are conditioned. Conditioned to believe that if it comes out of a box, can or jar, its okay to eat it, regardless if it contains chemical substances and preservatives we cannot even pronounce. Consuming soft drinks is not questioned because marketing has duped us into believing their couldn’t possibly be anything wrong with putting something so profoundly acidic as a carbonated soft drink into our body. The nutritional panels on packages reflects the pitiful amounts of nutrients that are actually in processed foods. And that assumes the body is going to absorb those nutrients, which it has a lot of trouble doing if they aren’t consumed with the enzymes that are found only in raw foods.

They must work five to seven times harder when digesting and converting cooked foods into nutrients that can actually be used by the body than when digesting raw foods. This fact needs no further elaboration other than to say that cooked foods simply have no place in the body. The digestive tract must call on metabolic enzymes to do its job. Our organs are strained and must work overtime to produce sufficient amounts of enzymes to help with the difficult task of digesting cooked foods.

Building the body’s cells with raw foods naturally protects us from bacterial infections and viruses of every kind. It fortifies the cells in ways that only raw foods can because the human body, as well as all life on Earth, has been conditioned to receive its nutrients in that way for billions of years. However, highly processed foods first appeared in the 1930’s. The rise of chronic disease of all kinds correlates precisely with the increased consumption of processed foods. Cancer is a perfect example of this. It has continued it meteoric rise since the 1930’s and now one of every three people in the United States will get cancer in their lifetime. Switch to a raw food diet and disease will disappear from your life for good, or for as long as you remain a raw foodist.

The Importance of Fat In Our Diet

Raw foods are never fattening. Regardless of the amount consumed, the body will assimilate the amount of nutrients it needs and expel the rest. People often believe that bananas, avocados and coconut are fattening, which they are not if they are consumed raw. Once cooked, processed or otherwise denatured, the fat, which has been chemically transformed, will undoubtedly deposit in the body. Fat deposited in the body this way is not a normal bodily process because denaturing food is not a natural process in and of itself. The body also stores them in such a way as to make them unavailable for use by the body except to burn the fat off. Fresh foods contain saturated fats, unsaturated fats and essential fatty acids, all of which the body requires. However, the body is also able to store these fats in its cells so it can use them as required by the body.

Hunger and Cooked Foods

Hunger is a basic instinct that is easily satisfied with cooked foods. The major reason for this is conditioning. The hypothalamus, the on/off hunger switch in the body, has been triggered and the cooked-foodist feels full. While the belly is indeed full, but it is filled with substances that do not carry with them the enzymes that allow their nutrients to be immediately absorbed and utilized by the body. Instead, we force the body to work many times harder to absorb nutrients from the foods we consume because they are denatured. We strain our enzyme reserve. Other areas of the body become neglected, most importantly our immune system. This should be the real reason we call it the common cold. As we age, we deplete our enzymes reserves until we begin to call upon our metabolic enzymes to help digest our foods. The body strains ever harder to absorb nutrients. The digestive tract becomes ever more clogged because of the absence of crucial digestive enzymes whose presence helps keep it clean and flowing. Simply put, we should not put anything in our bodies other than substances that are pure nutrients, i.e., raw foods.

The thing most people want from eating is a full belly. They equate this with having fed their body and satisfied its need for nutrients. Many realize they have done nothing but turn off the hunger switch. A belly full of cooked food is slow moving if not stagnant, especially if it has not been primed with raw foods, such as a hearty salad, before their cooked food meal.

However, we can learn to truly satisfy our hunger pains without resorting to cooked foods.

Upon introducing someone to the raw food theory, many people, especially vegetarians, their first thought is to proudly state that they eat a lot of steamed vegetables. Steamed vegetables are not at all acceptable because steaming kills the enzymes and therefore much of the nutritional potential of the food. It distorts the natural state of the food and therefore the original intent of the nutrients effect on the body.

The Health Benefits of Far Infrared Waves

Far Infrared (FIR) waves is an invisible band of light that warms objects without warming the air between. The best example of FIR heat is the sun. Even on a cold day, the sun feels warm on the skin. Approximately 80% of the sun’s rays fall into the far infrared range. It is not visible to the human eye. FIR heat is a completely safe form of energy.

Replace Traditional Protein Sources with Spirulina and Chlorella

In general, cooked-food vegetarians don’t get enough protein in their diet, which is a major problem that can lead to fatigue and many other health problems. Often people will simply remove meat , fish, eggs and dairy from their diet and become a strict vegetarian or vegan. This is a big mistake because protein is essential to the body in every way since it is the building blocks of our cells. Raw foodists can get away with only eating fruits and vegetables, but not cooked foodists since cooking irrevocably changes plant protein structure in a detrimental way that renders it weakened, chemically changed and therefore much less useful to the body. A severe lack of protein in the body will lead to cachexia where the organs are robbed of protein in order to perform bodily functions similar to the way the bones are robbed of calcium for bodily needs, which leads to osteoporosis .

A Raw-food Diet provides the body with a sufficient, but not ideal amount of protein. The body cannot store protein and will easily rid itself of any excess protein when it is derived from raw foods, not cooked animal-food sources. Excessive animal protein , on the other hand, will lead to severe imbalances in the body, leading to ketosis , uremia and a host of other diseases.

Protein must be consumed with every meal in order for the food to properly digest and its nutrients to be efficiently extracted and absorbed by the body. Digestion does not require a large amount of protein. Rather, the key is that you consume high quality plant protein that has a broad array of amino acids that are in the correct ratio to one another. Spirulina and Chlorella fit the bill perfectly. Only 2 – 4 grams of Spirulina and Chlorella (1.2 – 2.4 grams of protein) are needed with each meal to fulfill the protein needs of proper digestion. To exceed that amount would only enhance algae’s digestive and other nutritional components. Both cooked and raw foods are digested better and more nutrients are extracted from them when a sufficient amount of protein is present. This is especially true of plant protein such as that found in algae.

Without protein, bodily functions such as hormones and nutrient absorption stumble and thrash about without direction. This is why I refer to protein as the Great Regulator.

Oncologists commonly advise their cancer patients to avoid meat and dairy products because they encourage cancer by elevating certain protein levels in the body, which indicate that the cancer is thriving. If meat and dairy should be avoided once you have cancer, then avoiding them would also be a good preventative health measure. In general, allopathic (medical) doctors preach prevention in a rather watered down, tepid way, if at all, which seems befitting of an industry that could not be more wrongheaded and misguided about health and the cure for disease.

Animal protein that has been denatured by cooking is a great detriment to the body. The antibiotics , hormones and steroids that are injected into livestock can adversely affect the growth of children and destroy the friendly bacteria that the human body needs for digestion. Animal protein must be broken down into basic amino acids to be reformed into protein chains that can then be used by the human body. This is a laborious and inefficient process that loots the body of energy and resources rather than nutrifies it. The biggest culprit is meat.

Definitions:

Vegetarian : Someone who does not eat meat , dairy, fish or eggs. Also means Vegan or Veggie .

Raw Food Vegan: Eats only raw algae, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

Vegan : Strictest form of vegetarian. Excludes animal flesh (meat , poultry, fish and seafood), animal products (eggs and dairy), and usually excludes wearing or eating any animal products such as leather, silk, wool, lanolin, gelatin. Some vegans also disallow bee and yeast products.

Fruitarian: Same as Vegetarian , but only eats fruit. Some Fruitarians will only eat foods that don’t kill the plant, such as bananas or apples that can be harvested.

Lacto Vegetarian: Vegetarian who also eats dairy products.

Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian: Vegetarian who also eats eggs and milk products. This is the most common form of Vegetarianism.

Pescetarian: Same as Vegetarian , but also consumes fish.

Breatharian: One who only derives nourishment from the air.

Spirulina & Chlorella: First Foods of the Earth and the Foundation of Nutrition of Great Health

A building constructed from inferior materials is ready to collapse at any moment, if not from external then from within. The body built of inferior materials awaits the same fate. The basic elements of the human cell must be constructed from the exact nutrients it has been using over millions of years of evolution or it will fold under the attack of any disease. Detractors of algae dismiss it as pond scum, which is a laughable assertion stated out of shear ignorance. The nutritional content of Spirulina or Chlorella make them the most powerful foods in the world. No other foods could possibly compete with them. Of the nearly 70,000 species of algae that exist, most are quite nutritious. A few are toxic and a few are powerful nutraceuticals capable of supplying the body with nutrients unimagined by most other foods. A nutraceutical is any food that provides the body with the proper nutrition so the body can heal itself.

DynoMill vs. Pressure-Release Chlorella

Spirulina and Chlorella are perfect whole foods, true superfoods . They have perfect compliments of protein (60%) carbohydrates (19%), fats (6%) bio-available minerals (8%). They are not extracts, concentrates or amalgams of vitamins and minerals that look good on paper such as the vitamin and mineral supplements that people generally believe to be healthy. In reality, the body does not absorb 90% of these vitamin supplements because they are dead, void of enzymes. On the other hand, eating Spirulina or Chlorella is like eating any other whole food such as a banana, apple or broccoli.

Algae are the oldest foods in the world. Fossil records show that Spirulina and Chlorella have existed for billions of years essentially unchanged for all that time. They have both developed strategies of survival against harshly unfavorable conditions such as drought, radiation and even strong man-made poisons that have driven many other plant organisms to extinction.

There are several different species of these two algae, however the ones that I refer to here are Spirulina Platensis and Chlorella Pyrenoidosa. Another Chlorella product found on the market is known as Chlorella Vulgaris, which is nutritionally inferior to its powerful cousin Pyrenoidosa.  It does not have the broad array of nutrients of Pyrenoidosa, its incredible fiber nor does anywhere near the same amount or quality of Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF). Don’t be fooled by price, Chlorella Pyrenoidosa is worth the extra money and why it is considered the most powerful food in the world.

A tremendous amount of scientific research has been done on both Spirulina and Chlorella from universities and medical institutions from around the world. They have proven to be one of the best solutions world hunger problems. They are also used as feed for all kinds of live stock. Once tableted, they will last up to a year with refrigeration and even longer if vacuum-packed.

Which one should you take?

Even though the nutritional profile of Spirulina and Chlorella are quite similar they are completely different foods, as different as apples and oranges. Although many of the nutrients in these foods are the same, they will assimilate and benefit the body in different ways. This is also why we should attempt to get as many different types of foods into our diet as possible. The greater array of nutrients in any food, the more nutritious it is.

Spirulina is a nitrogen based blue green algae and has the predominant odor of seaweed. Chlorella is an oxygen based green algae that has the predominant odor of fresh grass. Chlorella gets its name from the high amount of chlorophyll in it, up to 10 times that of Spirulina which is itself quite high in chlorophyll. Chlorella belongs to a class of algae called chlorophyta.

Spirulina is an extremely high energy food, great before or after a workout and is used widely for joint soreness and joint support. Chlorella is excellent for digestion, heavy-metal detoxification, and is a immune system builder. Therefore, the answer to the question as to which of these two algae should you take is that you should definitely have both of them in your diet.

Protein, the Great Regulator
Spirulina and Chlorella are complete proteins meaning they provide the body with the eight essential amino acids, yet they go much further. They are 60% protein in the form of amino acids that are in the right ratio to one another. There is a lot of confusion and misinformation about protein, how much protein is actually in certain foods and what the protein actually consists of. For instance, most people assume meat is comprised of 100% protein when it is only 19% protein on average. Meat only has eleven amino acids and is heavily weighted in only four of them, which means that the body is receiving a very lopsided version of protein. What the body needs is a broad array of amino acids that are in the correct proportion to one another such as Spirulina, Chlorella and even wheat grass. Wheat grass juice is only 20-22% protein (higher than meat) compared to over 60% for Spirulina and Chlorella, which is the highest amount of protein of any whole foods.

Dosages – How much to take. When to take it.

Chlorella: A maintenance dosage of Chlorella is about 3 – 5 grams per day. Although you will not see significant changes taking such a small amount of whole food, your body will be getting a broad array of nutrients unlike it has seen before. Since Chlorella is a detoxifying whole food, not a concentrate or extract, a person can eat as much as they desire without any fear of it becoming potentially toxic in any way.

Negative Ions and Their Recurrent Theme in Human Health

No one has ever seen an ion although they have been studied extensively and found to be either helpful or harmful to our health depending on whether they are negatively or positively charged, which is determined by the amount of electrons they possess. A predominantly positive ion (cation) environment can be quite damaging to our health. A positive ion buildup frequently occurs in cold climates, especially in buildings with poor ventilation where pollutants can accumulate, which can lead to Sick Building Syndrome . In general, polluted environments are rich in positive ions. Positive ions are also produced by combustion, electronic equipment, synthetic materials such as clothing and plastics, and by the wind traveling over dry, barren land, as has been witnessed for thousands of years.

An excessive positive ion environment encourages disease of every kind, including sinusitis, high blood pressure , allergies, asthma , respiratory diseases, depression , bacterial and viral disease, nausea, cancer , arthritis and mental instability. In fact, they assist all disease in the body at any stage by acidifying bodily terrain.

While positive ions acidify the body, negative ions have the opposite effect of alkalizing it. Negative ions are typically found in high concentrations near waterfalls, in pine forests, after electrical storms and by the seashore where they are produced by waves crashing onto the shore. The average household shower produces a substantial amount of negative ions , which is one of the reasons why people often feel better after showering.

Negative ions (anion) have been called bio-energy because of the healthy environment they create for all living creatures. The human body functions more efficiently and is much healthier in a negative ion environment.

Everything discussed in this book regarding health revolves around putting substances in the body that are negatively charged. For instance, Alkaline Ionized Water has a negative (-) ORP (-50 to -400mV), which counteracts the oxidation of the body. It also possesses an abundance of electrons (negatively charged subatomic particles) that act as free radical scavengers in the body. The minerals in the water that the electrons attach themselves to become negatively-charged mineral ions that the body more readily absorbs because of their charge. The electrons that attach themselves to oxygen molecules are called hydroxyl ions. Fresh raw foods are negatively charged and also possess an abundance of electrons and negative ions . The minerals in raw foods are absorbable by the body because they possess a negative ion charge or spin. Once oxidized, processed or cooked, all the negatively charged characteristics of the food are gone having been destroyed. Human health revolves around negatively charged particles, yet most of our activities remove them from our bodies and our environment.

Negative ions weigh much less than the positive ions that compose cooked foods, which is why cooked foods feel heavier in your stomach when you eat them. They are harder to digest because they lack the electrons that make food readily absorbable by the body. When we eat cooked foods, we are consuming hydrogen ions, which are positively charged and cause oxidation in the body, accelerated aging and disease of every kind.

North Pole (-) magnets change the spin of ions from positive to negative, which alkalizes the blood and allows the body to heal faster. Far-infrared waves also generate negative ions . Surrounding yourself in FIR waves while in a FIR sauna bathes the body in negative ions , thus creating a healthy, healing environment.

The air we breathe should also be filled with negative ions because of their cleansing and healing effects on the lungs. As negative ions enter the bloodstream, they perform their alkalizing magic on the blood itself. Positive ions have the opposite affect of acidifying the body and discouraging the body’s self-healing abilities. Negative ion generators pump trillions of ions per second into the air and restore its negative/positive ion balance. They are especially needed during the winter months when the air is dry and the doors and windows are shut. With the absence of leaves on the trees, a strong November wind will easily strip the negative ions out of the air because they are so much lighter than positive ions.

Nearly all airborne dust particles have a positive charge. Negative ion generators cleanse the air by pulling up to 90% of the dust out of it, much of which accumulates on the generator itself, which is why they are sometimes called dust collectors . As the air becomes filled with negative ions , the floor remains positively charged. This causes dust to be pulled toward the floor as particles begin to magnetically clump together. Negative ion generators have many commercial and industrial applications where dust and other airborne debris are a problem, such as farms, mills and other dust-laden work environments.

Negative ions reduce bacteria and viruses in the air. They help the body heal more rapidly, by stimulating healthy cellular growth. Mental concentration increases in a negative ion environment, enhancing meditation practices of all kinds. Long distance drivers often use negative ions generators to help them stay mentally alert.

What Ionized Water Has Done For Me

One of the most commonly asked questions I’ve received over the past eight years of selling Water Ionizers is what has Ionized Water done for me. I’ve been drinking Ionized Water since 1997 and the effects on my body have been dramatic.

I was already drinking a gallon of water everyday and did not have a poor diet (I was a vegetarian) so I did not suffer the detoxification effects of Ionized Water, which are extremely powerful, but won’t be noticed by those who are not toxic. I drank it at the highest (strongest) level and I drank at least a gallon everyday. At present, I drink nearly two gallons everyday and, honestly, have never felt better in my life.

Since I was not ill at the time and had no chronic disease, I cannot claim that Ionized Water cured me of anything. Ionized Water is best used as a preventative health measure, a tool that can be utilized to keep you in the best health possible.

Some of the things I have noticed over the last eight years of drinking Ionized Water is an overall increase in stamina and recovery times after exercising. I have noticed this especially during and after running. I run 2-6 miles everyday as I have for years. My stamina has increased 25-30% and my recovery time has decreased a proportional amount. I never get sore joints; in particular my knees have not given me any trouble since I started drinking Ionized Water. I surmise from this that the accumulated acid waste has been washed from my joints for the most part. I am also far more limber than I was before, thus I find it much easier to stretch than I ever have before.

Colds and the flu have completely disappeared from my life since I began drinking Ionized Water. If I do feel a little something coming on, such as a sore throat, I find that drinking a few extra glasses of Ionized Water helps put it at bay quickly. It is my contention that if people were to simply drink enough water and keep their bodies properly hydrated, 60%-80% of the chronic disease in our society would disappear.

Since my brain and cranial fluids are always sufficiently hydrated, I think much clearer now. This is crucial because the brain uses 80% of every sip of water you take! Ionized Water provides the body with lots of oxygen, much of which will be used by the brain to function properly. Thus, the clarity of my thought processes have definitely improved.

  1. The first thing that Ionized Water does to the body when a person begins drinking it is flush out the digestive track. People often comment how often they have to go to the bathroom when they first start drinking Ionized Water. The smaller water molecule cluster size cleanses the lining of the digestive track and hydrates the body tissue better than any other water. As it does so, it forces out toxins and this can lead to diarrhea, rashes and other detoxification symptoms. The more toxins that are accumulated in the body, the more profound the effects of Ionized Water. Water ionizers have several levels of strength so one can begin drinking at a weak level and then increase as they get use to it.
  2. I have reduced acid levels in the body and balanced my overall body pH, which is not measured through the blood, but through the urine or saliva. But this did not happen overnight. I did not get into the shape I was in, which was not at all bad, but I was not about to correct it in every way overnight. Years of accumulated acid waste in the joints and throughout the body takes years to completely undue. And a large part will depend on your diet as to how quickly you will rid the body of acid waste.
  3. I have increased my blood oxygen level and my energy level at the same time. Oxygen is a nutrient that can saturate the blood, but cannot be stored. Thus it is crucial that we constantly provide our bodies with sufficient oxygen. Oxygen carries nutrients around the body, provides us with energy and kills bacteria, viruses, even cancer cells. 100 million years ago the atmosphere of the Earth contained 30% more oxygen than it does today. We evolved in a higher oxygen environment than we find ourselves today, partly due to pollution, partly due to natural changes between the Earth and the Sun. Ionized Water is a great source of oxygen. The oxygen that is derived from Ionized Water arrives in the form of a very potent antioxidant, which has an extra electron. The oxygen from Ionized Water comes from the hydroxyl ions that are produced when the water is run over positive and negative electrodes and there is an exchange of ions. This hydroxyl ion is an oxygen molecule that carries an extra electron which is donated to a free radical (an oxygen molecule that has only one electron). What remains are two stabilized oxygen molecule; a higher blood oxygen level is the result.
  4. Ionized Water has bathed my body in the negatively charged liquid, which promotes rejuvenation at a cellular level. All RAW fruits and vegetables have a negative charge or ORP (oxidation reduction potential). Anything that is oxidizing, such as metal has a positive charge. Our bodies are constantly being attacked by oxidation; the older we are, the higher the charge (ORP) is. When we drink negatively charged substances such as Ionized Water, this oxidation is retarded and our body’s cells are allowed to rejuvenate. This is known as Reverse Aging because it allows the body to rejuvenate at a cellular level. We do not become young in physical years. If we are 40 years old, we do not become 20, but we have the body of a 20-year-old person at a cellular level. This means that the cells that make up our body are as active, productive, communicative and functional as those of a 20 year old person. However, achieving this would not be possible if you only drank Ionized Water; in conjunction with that did not move toward a more Raw Foods, away from cooked and processed foods and put Spirulina and Chlorella at the center of your diet. The Whole Food Raw Diet is the only way to achieve true health, Great Health!
  5. I know that overall my body is much better hydrated than it ever has been since Ionized Water is up to six times more hydrating than conventional water. I am much more sensitive to being dehydrated than I use to be. For example, I become aware that my body needs water after only an hour or so of not drinking any. Simply by keeping my body constantly hydrated, I am accomplishing many things I wish to regarding my health. By staying hydrated we help stave off disease better than anything else we do. My blood is never too thin or too thick because of lack of water. My organs function as optimally as can be expected because they are not starved for water. I do not retain salt, nor do I have thin blood and high blood pressure because I drink enough water, especially Ionized Water.

The effects of Ionized Water on the human body are profound, yet subtle. Ionizing Water does not change the taste of the water rather the “feel” of it. By that, I mean that ionizing water makes it smoother by changing the size and shape of the water molecule clusters. Conventional water molecules group together in clusters of 10-12 molecules. Ionizing water breaks the molecule clusters in half so they form a group of 5-6 water molecules, thus they are smaller in size and more penetrating.

What YOU can expect from drinking Ionized Water

Consuming Ionized Water can and will benefit everyone. You will definitely get all the effects discussed above: a negatively charged substance, a free radical scavenger, more oxygen in the body, a balanced body pH, better hydration and detoxification. If you drink Ionized Water the way I drink it, strong and in abundance, you will see the same benefits I do. However, remember that your body is different from mine and everyone else’s, thus the effect of Ionized Water on your body will be different than it was on mine. It will depend on your historical diet and your current diet, how much water your currently drink, how much you exercise, how stressful your life is and how much medicine you both historically and currently take.

Scientific Evidence

There is not a lot of hard scientific evidence concerning Ionized Water for simple reasons. Scientific evidence, real scientific evidence, is expensive and difficult to recoup costs. The Japanese have done many studies on Ionized Water but they are not willing to release them plus the translation would be costly. However, ionization itself is not a great mystery and a great deal is known about what happens when water is ionized. Fundamentally, ionization causes a transfer of electrons between molecules, which is on the surface quite a simple process, however is very complicated upon deeper investigation. Why Buy a Water Ionizer

Ionized Water is a Powerful Antioxidant. Imagine having the ability to take normal tap water and turn it into an antioxidant with a NEGATIVE ORP (or charge), which retards the aging process. Put simply, a high or rising ORP causes oxidation and therefore aging. The negative ORP of Ionized Water literally retards the aging process by counteracting this rising ORP. These are oxygen molecules with an extra electron attached to them as are all antioxidants such as vitamins A, C and E. Hydroxyl ions scavenge for free radicals, which are unstable oxygen molecules that cause damage to us. Once the hydroxyl antioxidant and free radical have canceled each other, the result is that the body is provided with lots of oxygen and therefore lots of energy. Oxygen is one of the most exhausted nutrients in our body because of our diet and the Earth’s oxygen-depleted environment today. Oxygen destroys cancer cells as well as bacteria and viruses invading the body. It carries away acid waste from body tissue. It is vital to human health, perhaps our most important nutrient. A glass of strong Ionized Water first thing in the morning naturally helps you to wake up.

To get the full power of Negatively Charged, Antioxidant, Oxygen-Rich Ionized Water, it must be consumed fresh and strong, right out of the tap. Slow the water flow down on the Water Ionizer and the glass you fill will have thousands of tiny bubbles in it. Those are hydroxyl ions, which is the antioxidant and the reason for the Negative ORP. This is because the size and shape of the water molecule cluster has reduced in size and changed in shape to hexagonal, which allows the water cluster to pass through our tissue more easily. One of the primary causes of disease is chronic cellular dehydration, a condition which leaves the body’s cells in a perpetual state of weakness and defense. One of the major causes of chronic disease is not providing the body with sufficient water. We simply do not drink enough water (at least half our weight in ounces) to keep ourselves properly hydrated and therefore healthy.
