Chlorella’s indigestible cell wall needs to be ruptured to allow access to its nutrients and a variety of methods are used by other companies, some of which damage the nutrients. The method used by our Chlorella Producer (TCMC) ensures the highest quality, which is confirmed by an annual independent analysis by the Japan Food Research Laboratory. Japan is the only country that has strict standards and importation controls over heavy metals and bacterial content in Chlorella. Using a Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), two samples of Chlorella were examined, ours and a competitor’s brand. Both were deemed to be free of contamination, however, our Chlorella was the only one to demonstrate that the cell wall had been broken in the SEM examination. The cell wall of our competitor’s Chlorella had collapsed but remained unbroken and was only 40% digestible.

The method of cultivation serves to ensure the purity of the harvest which is much easier to guarantee within a controlled environment than by taking “pot-luck” in a natural lake where some blue-green algae (AFA) is grown and where water quality, pH, bacteria and competing algae are variable, unpredictable and often toxic. Cyranobacterial algae such as Anabaina and AFA found in Klamath Lake are toxic regardless of whether they are in a polluted source or a pristine environment. This is not a concern for Chlorella which is a chorophyta, not cyanopheta, and never toxic regardless of the environment.

Chlorella Strengthens the Immune System. B-cells are active against viruses and other illnesses. Macrophages are large cells that surround and digest foreign substances in the body. They are active against foreign proteins and chemicals. There are a finite number in the body, therefore limiting the ability of the body to remove harmful substances from the blood. One of the ways to strengthen the immune system is the use of agents to stimulate macrophage production and activity. Interferon is a natural secretion of the body that is thought to be a stimulator of macrophages. Chlorella stimulates the activity of T-cells and macrophages by increasing interferon levels enhancing the immune system’s ability to combat foreign invaders whether they are bacteria, viruses, chemicals or foreign proteins.

In Japan, where Chlorella is consumed by an estimated 7 million people daily, it is referred to as a functional food, a category which distinguishes Chlorella as being of proven scientific benefit to the diet. It is not a health food supplement.

In 1974 the Japanese Government was obliged to introduce quality standards to control the importation of Chlorella because of the disparity between grades and purity values. In 1995 our Chlorella became the only producer ever to be licensed to import and sell their products with an official health food recognition seal in Japan.

Most producers use a “continuous-harvest” method drawing quantities of raw algae from the growing ponds as required. This method is certainly economically efficient, but it also presents a very real risk of breeding competing toxic organisms and bacteria.

There are various methods of separating the Chlorella cells from the carrier water. The cheapest and most common is to use flocculating chemicals that cause liquids to separate into individual layers. Chlorella producers using this method do not list the residual toxic chemicals in the nutritional contents on their labels!

In the manufacturing of our Chlorella, a complex separation system is used with micro-filter centrifuges allowing them to separate the cells without the use of chemicals.

A maintenance dosage of Chlorella is about 12 – 20 tablets per day. Although you will not see significant changes taking such a small amount of whole food, your body will be getting a broad array of nutrients unlike it has seen before. Hazardous Material Alert

Some obscure facts and uses for Soft Drinks you probably didn’t know. This applies to virtually all carbonated soft drinks!

  1. In many states, the highway patrol carries a few gallons of Soft Drinks in order to remove blood from the highway after auto accidents.
  2. Place a T-bone steak in a bowl of Soft Drinks and it will be gone in 2-3 days. The meat is consumed by the acid of the cola.
  3. Toilet Cleaning: Pour a can of Soft Drinks into the toilet bowl and let the “real thing” sit for one hour, then flush. It magically cleans better than if you had scrubbed it. The citric acid in Soft Drinks also removes stains from vitreous china.
  4. Remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Soft Drinks.
  5. Clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour Soft Drinks over the terminals and the ultra-acid soft drink bubble away the alkaline corrosion in seconds.
  6. Loosen a rusted bolt: Applying a cloth soaked in Soft Drinks to the rusted bolt for several minutes and loosens with a fraction of the effort.
  7. Baked ham: Empty a can of Soft Drinks into the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the Soft Drinks for sumptuous brown gravy.
  8. Remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Soft Drinks into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The Soft Drinks will help loosen grease stains. It is also an excellent cleaner road haze from your windshield.
  9. The active ingredient in Soft Drinks is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8. It will dissolve a nail in about 4 days.
  10. To transport Soft Drinks syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck must use the Hazardous material place cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.
  11. The distributors of Soft Drinks have been using it to clean the engines of their trucks for about 20 years!

Why Purified Water is Bad For You

During nearly 19 years of clinical practice I have had the opportunity to observe the health effects of drinking different types of water. Most of you would agree that drinking unfiltered tap water could be hazardous to your health because of things like parasites, chlorine, fluoride and dioxins. Many health fanatics, however, are often surprised to hear me say that drinking purified water on a regular, daily basis is potentially dangerous. Paavo Airola wrote about the dangers of purified water in the 1970’s when it first became a fad with the health food crowd.

Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapor condensed. Purified or reverse osmosis water is free of dissolved minerals and, because of this, has the special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. Studies validate the benefits of drinking purified water when one is seeking to cleanse or detoxify the system for short periods of time (a few weeks at a time). Fasting using purified water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high blood pressure. Cooking foods in purified water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value.

Purified water is an active absorber and when it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide, making it acidic. The more purified water a person drinks, the higher the body acidity becomes. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, “Purified” water, being essentially mineral-free, is very aggressive, in that it tends to dissolve substances with which it is in contact. Notably, carbon dioxide from the air is rapidly absorbed, making the water acidic and even more aggressive. Many metals are dissolved by purified water.

The most toxic commercial beverages that people consume (i.e. cola beverages and other soft drinks) are made from purified water. Studies have consistently shown that heavy consumers of soft drinks (with or without sugar) spill huge amounts of calcium, magnesium and other trace minerals into the urine. The more mineral loss, the greater the risk for osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and a long list of degenerative diseases generally associated with premature aging.

A growing number of health care practitioners and scientists from around the world have been advocating the theory that aging and disease is the direct result of the accumulation of acid waste products in the body. There is a great deal of scientific documentation that supports such a theory. A poor diet may be partially to blame for the waste accumulation. Meats, sugar, white flour products, fried foods, soft drinks, processed foods, alcohol, dairy products and other junk foods cause the body to become more acidic. Stress, whether mental or physical can lead to acid deposits in the body.

There is a correlation between the consumption of soft water (purified water is extremely soft) and the incidence of cardiovascular disease. Cells, tissues and organs do not like to be dipped in acid and will do anything to buffer this acidity including the removal of minerals from the skeleton and the manufacture of bicarbonate in the blood. The longer one drinks purified water, the more likely the development of mineral deficiencies and an acid state. I have done well over 3000 mineral evaluations using a combination of blood, urine and hair tests in my practice. Almost without exception, people who consume purified water exclusively, eventually develop multiple mineral deficiencies. Those who supplement their purified water intake with trace minerals are not as deficient but still not as adequately nourished in minerals as their non-purified water drinking counterparts even after several years of mineral supplementation.

The ideal water for the human body should be slightly alkaline and this requires the presence of minerals like calcium and magnesium. Purified water tends to be acidic and can only be recommended as a way of drawing poisons out of the body. Once this is accomplished, the continued drinking of purified water is a bad idea.

Water filtered through a solid charcoal filter is slightly alkaline. Ozonation of this charcoal filtered water is ideal for daily drinking. Longevity is associated with the regular consumption of hard water (high in minerals). Ionized Water is the best possible drinking water. Disease and early death is more likely to be seen with the long term drinking of purified water. Avoid it except in special circumstances.

The Importance of Water to Human Health

True health cannot occur without proper hydration of the body. We need to drink half our body weight in ounces minimum each day . For instance, if you weigh 200 lbs, you should consume 100 ounces of water. Every organ in the body heavily depends on water to function properly and to its capacity. We are mostly water. The human body is 69% water. The brain is 85% water, bones 35% water, blood 83% water and the liver 90% water.

Water has traditionally been considered mere packing material that served little purpose other than to give the body its weight and bulk. Medieval thinkers still believe water is there to give the body volume, otherwise it would be nothing but dry chemicals. To this day, the medical establishment sees water as little else, when in fact water serves to energize every cell and organ in the body. It is crucial to every bodily operation and when we become dehydrated, the body instinctively begins to ration water to each organ. The brain, being the most important organ, gets the most water. The skin, being the least important, is rationed the least amount of water. Chronically dry skin and/or dandruff are signs of advanced bodily dehydration , as are asthma and hyperventilation . It is the law of vital adaptation at work; that the body will do what it has to do to survive, which in this case means the most important organs get served first. If the body didn’t do that we would suffer the ill effects of dehydration much more rapidly.

  • In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
  • Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 3%.

A person’s minimal water requirements is half their body weight in ounces. For instance, a 200 pound person should drink at least 100 ounces of water.

Effect of Electrolytic Water (Ionized Water) Intake on Lifespan of Autoimmune Disease Prone Mice

Research from Texas University

Recent studies on electrolyzed water indicate that anode or acidic water is most effective as disinfectants; whereas, reduced or alkaline water processed through cathode is used as safe drinking water. The present drinking water study was undertaken in two strains of autoimmune disease prone mice to establish the spontaneous disease process and longevity. Weanling MRL/lpr and NZBxNZW [B/W] F1 female mice were provided daily with (1) tap water [pH ~7.5, oxygen reduction potential (ORP)~600+] (2) electrolyzed water with pH of ~9.0 and ORP ~400- and (3) hyper-reduced water with pH~10.0 and ORP~600-. Mice were provided H2O and chow diet ad libitum and weekly body weights and spontaneous deaths were recorded. The mean survival data recorded as days for MRL/lpr mice [25 mice/group] is as follows: (1) tap water 235±25, (2) reduced water 287±40 and (3) hyper-reduced water 346±45 days [<0.05]. In the case of B/W mice [25 mice/group], (1) tap water 269±16, (2) reduced water 298±19 and (3) hyper-reduced 302±18 days. A significantly decreased (<0.05) serum lipid peroxides were observed in mice fed hyper-reduced H2O. Also, the source of water did not alter lymphocyte subsets or their response to mitogens. In summary, hyper-reduced water with pH~10.0 appears to inhibit autoimmune disease of MRL/lpr mice whereas only a modest increased lifespan was noted for B/W mice. The increased lifespan by electrolyzed H2O appears to be related to the changes in free radicals and antioxidant enzyme levels. [Supported in part by Zanix Co. and Mr. Waterman Co., Tokyo, Japan].

Summary:

1. Life long intake of both reduced (pH 9.0) and hyper-reduced (pH 10.0) water caused no harm to mice compared to tap water.
2. Survival is increased significantly by hyper-reduced water in one strain (MRL/lpr).
3. Slight increased life span in the other strain (NZBxNZW F1).
3. Reduced and hyper-reduced water appears to increase T cell numbers, and decrease B cells.
4. Both reduced and hyper-reduced water appears to increase antioxidant mRNA levels.
5. New clinical and animal studies are needed to confirm above results.

All About Spirulina Platensis

What is Spirulina?
Spirulina (Spirulina Plantensis) is a microscopic freshwater plant, an aquatic micro-vegetable/organism composed of transparent bubble-thin cells stacked end-to-end forming a helical spiral filament.

It is a whole-food, not a concentrate, not an extract. It is detoxifying. A person can not eat too much and overdose on Spirulina. It contains more bio-chelated organic iron than any other whole-food. Bio-chelated means that the iron will easily be assimilated into the body. Spirulina has 58 times the iron of raw spinach and 28 times that of raw beef liver.

It contains more beta-carotene than any other whole food. Beta-carotene determines how our cells communicate with one another. “Beta carotene opens the membrane communication channels of cancerous and pre-cancerous cells, allowing the body to signal the cancerous cells to stop dividing. Therefore, foods rich in beta carotene may not only be able to prevent but also reverse cancers. (Wolf 1992)” (Spirulina, Nature’s Superfood). Research has demonstrated that beta-carotene can lower cholesterol, treat wounds and reduce the size of tumors. Natural beta-carotene is far superior to synthetic, both chemically and physically. It absorbs better into the body than synthetic and it will NOT build up in the body and become toxic. There are NO toxic side effects with Spirulina the way there are with other blue green algae such as AFA (Afanzamon Flos Aqua, commonly known as Bluegreen Algae).

It is the richest source of natural antioxidants of any whole-food source. It contains every natural known antioxidant including zinc, manganese, selenium and copper, the amino acid methionine, vitamin E, vitamins B-1 and B-6, the amino acid methionine and of course, beta-carotene. Be Aware: There is another species of blue green algae, Aphanizomenon Flos Aqua (AFA), which grows naturally in Klamath Lake, Oregon, and a few other places in the world. It is widely available and sells under different names, including the generic name Blue Green Algae. It is recommended this algae not be consumed for several reasons. Klamath Lake is a migratory pathway for thousands of birds, thus the AFA algae is contaminated and extremely high in bacteria. Under these circumstances, AFA algae must be freeze dried to kill the bacteria. This process, however, destroys the enzymes in the AFA algae. The centerpiece of Spirulina and Chlorella are its enzymes because nothing is more needed by the body than enzymes.

Although they are both blue green algae and have somewhat similar nutritional profiles on paper, Aphanizomenon Flos Aqua and Spirulina Plantensis could not be more different. They are entirely separate species of algae, as can be inferred from their Latin names. AFA algae is one of six known algae that produce toxins, either hepatotoxins or neurotoxins. The neurotoxins in AFA algae are neosaxitoxin and anatoxin. “Structurally, anatoxin-a does not resemble decamethonium, but instead is similar to the tropane alkaloids, specifically cocaine.” ( Toxicon , vol. 17, “Pharmacology of Anatoxin-a, Produced by the Freshwater Cyanphyte, AFA NRC-44-1,” by Carmichael, Biggs and Peterson, 1979, pg 229. )

Spirulina produces all its nutrients by harvesting sunlight. It gathers and transforms sunlight into green and blue pigments that make it a blue green algae. The blue is an amino acid group found only in Spirulina called phycocyanin, which accounts for its high concentration of vegetarian protein. The green in Spirulina is chlorophyll, one of the best natural detoxifiers known.

Spirulina is an extremely high energy food. It contains all the B vitamins, which are themselves synonymous with high energy. Energy derived from whole foods such as Spirulina and Chlorella are natural and will never leave you flat after their nutrients have been consumed by the body. Scientific studies world-wide have demonstrated the incredible health properties of spirulina.

Water, nitrogen, phosphorus, carbon dioxide and sunlight are all that is needed to produce Spirulina, one of the most nutritionally packed foods in the world, an absolutely astounding array of enzymes and other nutrients.

INTRODUCTION

In order to learn how to get younger, we must understand the process of aging.

Handling natural health improvement devices developed in Japan a few years, I have witnessed as well as personally experienced many mysterious phenomenon in the reverse aging effect.

Being a scientist, engineer, and inventor, I have tried to understand and explain the phenomenon scientifically, applying the scientific principles of those non-drug, natural health improvement devices. During the course of the study, I came to a realization of what the human aging process is about. The great news is that, with this new theory, the reverse aging process can be explained, and ANYBODY CAN GET YOUNGER IF HE OR SHE SO DESIRES.

THE AGING PROCESS

We get old because we are not disposing of all the internally generated wastes and toxins, and accumulate the leftovers within our body.

For our body to function and to maintain body temperature, we burn nutrients within our cells. The main ingredients of all foods, expensive or inexpensive, gourmet or junk, vegetable or meat, alkaline or acid, are either carbohydrates, proteins or fats. And they are nothing but the combinations of four elements: carbon, nitrogen, hydrogen and oxygen.

After these nutrients are burnt (oxidized) in the cells, they all turn into organic acids: carbonic acids, uric acids, lactic acids, fatty acids, ammonia, etc. Fats are acidic even before oxidation. The Chinese word for oxygen is written with two characters, “sahn-so”. They literally mean “acid root”.

These acidic wastes and toxins are disposed out of the body in liquid form, as urine or perspiration, after first being dissolved into the blood. Every element within our body was place there by the blood and can come out of there by first being dissolved into the blood and then being carried out. If anyone loses ten pounds by any dietary means, it can be said that most of that ten pounds came out through the urine.

Unfortunately, due to our life styles and environments (i.e., too much ingestion, overwork, over indulgence, not enough rest, staying up late, not enough exercise, inadequate water consumption, smoking, pollution, etc.) the body cannot get rid of all the acidic waste products that it generates within. We accumulate these left over waste products somewhere within our body. This is the process of getting old.

To make matters worse, mixed with these organic acids are inorganic acid minerals such as chlorine, phosphor, and sulfur that come in with most of our acidic foods: meats, grains and root crops. We don’t eat enough of alkaline foods such as fruits and vegetables that contain inorganic alkaline minerals: calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, etc.

Although the amounts of inorganic minerals are small compared with the organic acid wastes that the body produces, they contribute more towards the acid side. However, one important thing to note is that even if one does not eat any acidic food at all, as long as carbohydrates and proteins are consumed, the body produces much more acidic wastes than the inorganic alkaline minerals can counteract.

We are born with high alkaline blood pH of 7.44. As we get older, the blood pH drops down to 7.35 or below. The blood pH referred to here is the artery blood pH. The difference of 0.09 in pH value seems very small but since pH is logarithmic, the amount of hydroxyl ion (OH-) in 7.44 pH is 1.23 times that of 7.35 pH, because 10=1.2303.

The hydroxyl ion is an oxygen donor while the hydrogen ion (H+) is an oxygen taker. In other words, young people carry 23% more of the oxygen donors in their blood than older people. No wonder they are more energetic.

Uric acid is nearly insoluble in water, alcohol, and ether, but soluble in solutions of alkaline salts, In other words, it becomes soluble in alkaline water. Arthritis and gout are caused by uric acid deposited between the joints, non-dissolved due to the low alkalinity of an older person’s blood. Drinking acid free alkaline water will gradually elevate one’s blood pH and the gout will disappear naturally. (More about this acid free alkaline water later)

As we live with poor waste disposal systems for a long period of time, some parts of our body build up more acids than others, and they can clog up capillary vessels around those acidic areas. This causes some body organs to function in a sluggish manner. We feel tired and run down sometimes for no reason whatsoever, and adult diseases such as high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, allergies, etc. start to set in WE SIMPLY ACCEPT THESE PHENOMENA AS “GETTING OLD.”

In some extreme cases, the build up of acidic elements are so great that it starts to destroy healthy cells around them. Healthy cells must maintain a slightly alkaline pH level. Some cells change their formula in order to survive in an acidic environment. If they are successful, this is the beginning of cancer. Cancer cells are acidic while healthy cells are alkaline. Even if the cancerous tumors are completely removed surgically, as long as the acidic conditions in the area remain, the chances are that new tumors will develop around the same area.

Exactly where the left over waste products are accumulated may very according to every individual. However, the parts of the body where wastes accumulate first may determine what kind of adult disease that individual may develop first. Within one family, the storage places may be similar. This may explain the hereditary effects of certain adult diseases.

THE REVERSE AGING PROCESS

Because the accumulation of waste products inside the body is the aging process, helping the body to get rid of the OLD waste products is the reverse aging process.

This reverse aging process takes two steps. The first step is to develop a good disposal system and the second step is to pull out the old wastes from their hiding places.

Development of A Good Disposal System

Since, as mentioned before, the waste disposal is done in liquid form by urine and perspiration, it is imperative that we drink plenty of water, When one is going through any diet program, doctors tell him to drink 8 glasses of water a day. They know the disposal is through urine, but they don’t tell you what kind of water to drink.

Since all waste products are acidic, the best kind of water is acid free alkaline water. What is REVERSE OSMOSIS water?
Reverse Osmosis is water that has been purified by forcing water through an extremely fine membrane that removes everything that is dissolved in the water such as minerals and even dissolved oxygen.
