Oldest Woman in the World Dies at 115 – Just Because You’re Old . . .

. . . doesn’t mean you’re healthy.  In fact, no one older ever does.  The idea that someone dies of old age is just a way of saying that there is no telling what killed that person exactly because essentially some and then all of their organs stopped working.  This happens because disease has long ago entered their bodies and has destroyed them.   It is the inevitable result of living on a cooked food diet, especially a diet that is highly acidic, such as processed and fried foods.

One of the common refrains I hear is that they know someone who ate junk foods and/or smoked their whole life and lived to be 98.  Perhaps they were never ill until the final months of their lives.  Why someone who never smoked dies of cancer at 25 years old and someone who smokes lives to be 98 is not really a mystery if we were to look at their lifestyles in its entirety, including whether they had a positive or negative attitude, or if they were a spiritual or religious by nature.  My old friend and mentor Jack Lalanne died in January 2011 and I wrote that he only lived to 96 years old because he was only on a 70% raw food diet and the 30% of his diet that was not comprised of raw fruits and vegetables was acidic and what inevitably lead to his demise.

The Oldest Woman in the World died recently.  She was confined to her bed for several years, which doesn’t sound like much of a life to me.  My 7 Component Health Protocol is more about quality of health today rather than longevity, living a long life.  For without quality of health what is life worth?  If you can’t get out of bed for years, what kind of life do you have?  We hear all the time that modern medicine has extended the life expectancy by 15 years in the last 50 years, and that people are living long lives each and every year.  While that is true, what is the quality of their health and therefore their lives in those final years?  I would rather live 50 years with quality health than to live 100 years and suffer the misery of incessant disease.

No one wants to live to be 100 years old because everyone they see who is 100+ is decrepit.  However, if you woke up on your 100th birthday and felt great, jumped out of bed and said “I’ve got lots to do today so I better get moving” you would relish the thought of living to 100+ years.   We live with the perception that old is good when in fact that living to an old age is worthless without quality of health.  And we live with the idea that aging and becoming decrepit is inevitable, when it is the result of what we put in our bodies, which in the end is our choice.  “We are all the author of our own health or disease.” ~ Buddha

Drs. Mercola and Cousens Debate Veganism: Listen to it before bedtime. You’ll fall asleep

Here is my video response to the Debate about the Vegan Diet Debate between Dr. Mercola and Dr. G. Cousens, who wrote the introduction to my book Achieving Great Health, 2005.

The conversation meanders as these two technocrats of the health world get into the minutia of healthy living.  It was really a discussion about health rather than a “Debate on the Vegan Diet” as it was billed.  I was expecting a vigorous debate with a lot of disagreement and instead I was bored out of my mind.  And I love this stuff!!  But how much talk about purines and carnasine can one listen to before you fall asleep?  I was expecting to hear solid reasons pro and con about the vegan diet.  And I heard nothing of the sort.

Dr. Mercola then suggests that there is too much iron in chlorella and that menopausal women and older men don’t do well on it.  “Iron is an oxidant” Dr. Cousens stated.  They talk about iron like it’s a poison when in fact iron is at the center of every blood cell in our body.  Dr. Mercola: “I was shocked to see how much iron was in [spirulina and chlorella].” Dr. Cousens: “It doesn’t cause a problem [with elevated iron levels] and we don’t know why.” Dr. Mercola suggests that chlorella binds with heavy metals which includes iron, which is wrong because it is naturally bio-available iron and not iron-oxide.  Iron oxide is what is dangerous for the body because it is not bio-available.

Chlorella, Vitamin K and Coumadin – Don’t do what is healthy so you won’t be sick anymore

One of the most common questions we are asked about Chlorella is whether it has vitamin K.  For the record, Chlorella does have vitamin K in it, as do all green plants to some degree.  Vitamin K is found in a plethora of foods.  Chlorella has a lot of vitamin K, 46mg per 1 gram.  The body requires vitamin K for a number of reasons.  It is an antagonist for arterial calcification in humans.   A ten-year study documented that people who consumed the most vitamin K2 have a 50% reduced risk of arterial calcification. They also exhibited a 50% reduction for being at risk for cardiovascular events during the 10 year period of the study.  In 2009, a 16,000-person study demonstrated that high consumption of vitamin K2, not K1, protected from cardiovascular disease.   Vitamin K also helps with calcium assimilation and retention in the bones and throughout the body.  It helps prevent joint inflammation and is essential for the production of skin cells.

The main function of vitamin K is that is allows the blood to coagulate so we do not bleed to death when we get cut.  Newborn babies are given a shot of vitamin K when they are born for this reason, although I believe them to be unnecessary if my health protocol would be followed for the mother through pregnancy.   And it is for this reason that people are prescribed the drug Coumadin, which is said to prevent strokes, heart attack, deep vein thrombosis, blood clots to the lungs, and other circulatory disorders.  Doctors prescribe Coumadin to shift the balance away from clot formation in the body and toward increased circulation.  It is a blood thinner that causes an imbalance in the body, as do all medications which is why they all have side effects. The normal functions of the body and the way it handles vitamin K becomes a major issue because Coumadin causes imbalances.  Under normal circumstances, the body handles vitamin K quite well.  However, once an artificial substance such as Coumadin is introduced, one of the most important nutrients required by the body must be avoided, that of chlorophyll, the life-blood of plants.  Avoiding foods with Vitamin K means avoiding foods with chlorophyll, which is insanity.

Coumadin thins the blood and guards against blood clots that can lead to a stroke.  Since Coumadin does what it is designed to do, it is blindly accepted by the medical community as well as anyone who believes in medicine and the drugs that doctors push on us.   We are force fed the notion we should take drugs and that medicine is the only answer, which in fact is the exact opposite of the desired outcome.  Drugs create imbalances in the body that in turn no longer allow us to consume other foods that may interfere with it, even those such as Chlorella that encourage sugar level stability and blood consistency.   Hypertension, or thin blood, is the most common of all diseases.  All drugs interfere with the body’s natural processes and Coumadin is a glaring example of it.  Dr. Bernard Jensen, the Father of Nutrition, warned against taking Coumadin in the 1970’s when it was first marketed.

I personally know almost nothing about medicine and medications so I cannot make a recommendation to you about whether you should take medicine that has been proscribed to you by a doctor.  That is your decision.  However, what I do understand is health, which has nothing to do with medicine.  And I can say without any doubt that I would never put anything in my body that would stop me from consuming foods whose nutrients are required by the body if we expect to be healthy, such as those with chlorophyll.  This of course would include the most powerful food on earth, Chlorella.  Chlorella gets its name for being the food with the highest concentration of chlorophyll, our most important nutrient.  Caution to those who would take anything that would deny the body that key nutrient.

Mercola taken to School – Structured Water, Negative Ions. Sure Sounds Like Ionized Water to Me

Dr. Mercola recently interviewed Dr. Gerald Pollack, of the University of Washington where he is a professor of bioengineering.  He has developed a theory of water that has been called revolutionary. The researcher has spent the past decade convincing worldwide audiences that water is not actually a liquid.  Pollack explained his fascinating theory in this 32nd Annual Faculty Lecture which can be downloaded here.

In his rather technical discussion with Dr. Mercola, Dr. Pollack repeatedly talked about structured water and the importance of consuming it.  Dr. Pollack scientifically talks over our heads about the most perplexing aspects of water, and that of structured water, which happens to be another term for Alkaline or Ionized Water.

Dr. Pollack: That makes me think that there is a good possibility that the water really has the capability of retaining that structure over a long time… Therefore, it’s possible that if you drink water that has this structure, it might be good for your health.”

Alkaline or Ionized Water proves that structured water is good for your health.  The body craves a Negative Charge, Electrons, Alkalinity and water that has a molecular structure is small and ordered, rather than bulky and not easily absorbed.

Dr. Pollack: “So it’s possible that when you swallow properly structured water… it might be preserved. If this structure is then absorbed into your intestines then it’s possible it can be retained all the way into your cells. It’s also possible that it’s the charge within the ordered water that really matters.”

It only stands to logic that nature operates best in an orderly and efficient manner and structured water does just that, helps the body’s cells become more structured on a molecular level.  This is because the water these cells absorb is structured and orderly rather than bulky and unstructured.

Dr. Pollack: “Structured water contains a charge, negative charge usually. It’s possible that what you’re really doing is absorbing the negative charge, and that negative charge is critical for building the structure. That’s another possible route.”

Alkaline or Ionized Water is structured and the drinking water has a negative charge, exactly as Dr. Pollack is describing here.  Negatively charged structured water is the healthiest substance we can put in our body.  And if it has a negative charge (ORP – Oxidation Reduction Potential) it does because it has an abundance of electrons, which the body is constantly starved for.

Dr. Mercola Blog: Researchers have also investigated what happens to the structure of water when you run an electrical current through it.

This is exactly what Alkaline or Ionized Water is, water that has had an electrical charge, either positive or negative.  This is produced by an anode (-) and a cathode (+).  What happens then regarding Ionized Water is that the two waters, one negative and the other positive, are then separated between a membrane.  We drink the negatively charged water, that has now been “structured” as Dr. Pollack suggests it should be.  Alkaline or Ionized Water is hexagonal (6-sided) in shape.  They are compact, highly absorbable and extremely good for our health, since water is the foundation of health, and there is no better water than Alkaline or Ionized Water.

Water-molecule cluster size is measured by using a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance device.  We can also determine the change in the surface tension of Ionized Water, which is measured in dynes.  A lower surface tension demonstrates the existence of smaller water molecule clusters.

Dr. Pollack: “If you put an electrode in, it does work. It has a powerful effect… In the experiments we’ve done, it’s just a matter of 5-10 volts… We haven’t studied it in enough detail how much voltage you really need to put on to be effective. That needs to be done in the future. There are pilot experiments that we’ve done and we haven’t published them yet.”

Dr. Mercola, Dr. Pollack: The experiments you speak of have been done and have been conducted for many years now.  It’s called Alkaline or Ionized Water, and many studies have been done on the subject.  Dr. Mercola referred to Alkaline Ionized Water as “Snake Oil on Tap” in an interview with Houston Tomasz, a so-called water expert whose credentials were never disclosed and no one had ever heard of before in the Water Ionizer industry.  I wrote a rebuttal to that interview which was filled with more misinformation about Alkaline Ionized Water and water in general.

Further in the interview Dr. Mercola asks Dr. Pollack about the practice known as grounding, or walking around in your bare feet outside, which is healthy because the earth and therefore the ground we walk on is negatively charged, which was a surprise to Dr. Pollack since he was convinced that it was positively charged.

Negative ions are typically found in high concentrations near waterfalls, in pine forests, after electrical storms and by the seashore where they are produced by waves crashing onto the shore.  The average household shower produces a substantial amount of negative ions, which is one of the reasons why people often feel better after showering.” From Achieving Great Health by Bob McCauley, CNC, MH

We become sick when we live in a positive ion environment because the mind and body do not function well in that environment.  Negative ions are healthy for us on the outside of our bodies and on the inside as well, such as those found in Alkaline Ionized Water.  You would think the light would go on over Dr. Mercola’s head as he was talking to Dr. Pollack for nearly an hour, but there was absolutely no mention of Alkaline Ionized Water when, ironically, it was what they were actually discussing the entire time.

Fitness Legend Jack LaLanne dies at 96. Taken at such a young age.

I interviewed Jack LaLanne in 2004 and again in 2005 on my radio show, Achieving Great Health, which was the first radio show ever to talk exclusively about the raw food lifestyle.  I interviewed anyone and everyone who was a raw foodist and willing to come on.  Since then a whole slew of radio and TV shows have popped up, which makes me happy to see. It took me some time to get Jack to come on the show, but when he saw that I was a health enthusiast like himself  he agreed to come on with me.  I was shocked that he was willing to come on with me.  He was quite gracious on the air with me.  His wife joined him Jack said some nice things to me during the interview.

Many will say that Jack lived to the “ripe old age of 96” and that he lived a healthy lifestyle.  He told me himself that “there are 650 muscles in the body and exercise each and every one of them each day.” I’m sure it is what kept Jack healthy for so many years, plus the fact that he was on a 70% raw food diet, consuming only uncooked fruits and vegetables.  The last 30% of Jack’s diet was comprised of fish, lean meat, grains and potatoes, and it was this last 30% that killed Jack before he turned 100.

If you exercise regularly and live primarily on a diet of raw fruits and vegetables, you can easily live into your eighties and nineties, and be relatively healthy!  People do it all the time while living on a cooked food diet.  Imagine if these same people were to live on a raw food diet?  And even if you do live into your 90’s living on a cooked food diet, how healthy do you expect you will be?  My health protocol is more about quality of life rather than longevity, although it addresses both.

No one wants to live to be 100 years old because everyone they see who is 100+ is decrepit.  However, if you woke up on your 100th birthday and felt great, jumped out of bed and said “I’ve got lots to do today so I better get moving” you would relish the thought of living to 100+ years.”

The question is that Peter Ragnar asked me was, “If you can live to 100 years old, why not 200?  If 200, why not 500 years or 1000?” Another words “Does the human body have a time limit to it?”   I don’t think it does, however keeping ourselves young at any age is not easy.  We need to keep hydrated, alkalized and detoxified.  We do that by drinking ionized water, consuming spirulina and chlorella, eating raw foods, taking probiotics, staying mineralized with Angstrom minerals, exercising and keeping a positive mental attitude.  Two other keys to longevity I will discuss in greater detail in a future blog when I discuss the passing of the world’s oldest woman January 31, 2011.  Just because you live a long time doesn’t mean you are healthy.  And just because you exercise each and every day doesn’t mean you will be healthy, even if you live on a 70% raw food diet.  If Jack had gone the rest of the way and included other key ingredients in his diet we wouldn’t be talking about his demise.

Dr. Robert O. Young’s Biggest Mistake

Dr. Robert O. Young wrote the book pH Miracle, which I wrote a rebuttal to.  He was interviewed by Kevin Giani.

The interview can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRhCVUFbNTM&feature=channel.  In the beginning of the interview Dr. Young talks about the detrimental effects of consuming meat and how it should be avoided.

Dr. Young’s words are in italics. “Meat has no nutritional value other than to just destroy you life.”[Eating meat is] why most people stink.  That’s why they have body odor.  That’s why their elimination smells . . . You can smell someone that’s a meat eater.  You can just look at their eyes and at their skin.”

I have not consumed meat since 1980.  Absolutely, I suggest to people that they do not to eat meat, fish, eggs or dairy.  But I think Dr. Young goes too far in suggesting that there is no nutrition in meat whatsoever and the reason why people smell so much.  Meat may be one of the contributing factors, but I have met vegetarians who smell bad themselves, including their breath.  He suggests that meat actually causes people to rot from within.  The consumption of cooked animal protein leads to more disease than anything other than not drinking enough water.  But it’s not as bad as Dr. Young makes it sound.

“It’s probably the worst of all the foods one can eat.” Perhaps Dr. Young has never been introduced to a Twinkie, Cheese Puffs or the myriad number of other processed junk foods that the average person commonly eat everyday.  I would consider many of them much worse than meat.

Dr. Young continues: “In fact a lot of times the people who eat meat start looking like the animals they’re eating.  Because there’s an intelligent there, matter, that actually starts shifting, you know, the animals they eat many times they become.”

It’s a mystery as to what Dr. Young is suggesting as to how a person begins to look like the animals they eat, whether it is fish or a chicken or a cow.  I call on Dr. Young to defend this non-scientific, preposterous idea with some kind of evidence in the way of a study or at least a scientific hypothesis.

The sarcastic tone of Dr. Young is palpable throughout the video: “Get off your lazy ass and start moving it. You ever heard of exercise? You know?”

Dr. Young continues: “Maybe eating more green foods and drinking more green drinks.” I couldn’t agree more with this statement since chlorophyll is our most important nutrient in my opinion.  Unfortunately Dr. Young does not include aglae as one of the healthy green foods.  In fact, it’s his Biggest Mistake.

Around 4:55 in the video, Dr. Young begins talking about mushrooms and algae and it’s all downhill from there. “Think about it folks.  Algae and fungi, where do you find them, under rotting decay and bodies.  In stagnant, poisonous, toxic lakes.  It’s whole purpose is to breakdown dead bodies. And when you put algae and fungus and bacteria, what we call healthy bacteria probiotics all you do is take one step closer to the grave.”

We feed and encourage disease of every kind when our digestive tract is void of probiotics.  Dr. Young is suggesting here that the friendly bacteria we call probiotics (for life), commonly Acidophilus and bifidus, also causing us to decay from within.  There certainly are harmful bacteria, but to make the blanket statement that all bacteria are harmful to our health is completely wrong, as ample scientific evidence and studies unmistakably proves otherwise.

Dr. Young continues: “What we need is more light, not biological transformations that are essential to life to breaking down dead bodies so they can go back to from whence they came so can be part of some organized matter.  . . . you take days, months, years off your life when you start consuming these things.”

Equating yeast, mold and fungus with algae is Dr. Young’s Biggest Mistake. Yeast and mold are recycling instruments used by nature that are commonly found in a diseased body.  When nature discovers something that does not belong in it, nature’s processes immediately attempt to re-fold it back into itself so it will again become part of it. Algae is a green food in the Plantae Kingdom.  It is a plant, the oldest on the planet, that depends on sunlight to survive and reproduce itself.  Fungus, mold and yeast are not plants.  They belong in the Fungi Kingdom and do not require sunlight, nor do they produce chlorophyll. They are recycling agents meant to return things to nature that are no longer a part of it.  You will find mold and fungus in cancer patients because they are being recycled back into nature because cancer is not a part of nature, but rather a response to something found outside of nature.

Dr. Young continues: “When you look at an electron micrograph of lung cancer you see algae(s) and mushrooms.  That’s what the tissues looks like,  under the sea, you know, Disney Land, you see all these carbunculars  and algae and fungi.”

Once again, Dr. Young claims algae is a recycling agent when in fact some species are the most powerful foods known, as such spirulina and chlorella. They are the most scientifically researched foods in nature.  Unlike any other food, both must accompany a Certificate of Analysis with each batch that the producer sells.  There is no other food on the market that a COA must be presented with other than herbal extracts.  No other food is so rigorously and thoroughly tested in studies than spirulina and chlorella.  Only cracked cell chlorella can be imported and sold in the United States, and the processing methods must be approved by the FDA.  No other foods are so closely scrutinized by the FDA than these two foods.

In regards to mushrooms, some varieties have incredible health properties such as Shiitake, Reishi, Maitake, Cordyceps, Enoki, Antrodia camphorata to name a few. Many of them have powerful anticancer and immune building properties.  I regularly consume mushroom and find nothing wrong with them at all.

Yet they are denounced and ridiculed as agents of decay and disease for those who dare consume them.  Dr. Young’s biggest blunder occurs with his denunciation of the most powerful foods on earth.  It’s not the first time he has made this mistake and I’m sure it’s not the last.

Famed Detective Henry Lee is Either a Sell Out or Needs to Go Back to School

Here is my video regarding this. I recently wrote a blog stating my belief that Cryptomondales is hoax as it is being represented to the public as a new Chlorella species by its Taiwanese producer, International Cryptomonadales Biotechnology Co., Ltd. First, I would like to state that it is a good product that undoubtedly does what it claims, which is to stimulate PPAR’s production in the body through the combination of essentially fatty acids, EPA, DHA and GLA.  However, the claim that one species of algae, Chlorella sorokinina and a cyanobacteria, spirulina platensis, have been crossed is a flat out lie and complete misrepresentation of the product.  Algae cannot be crossed with a bacteria anymore than an insect could be crossed with a plant or mammal to create a new species.  Yet, this is what International cryptomonadales Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the company that produces cryptomondales claims.  While scientists have successfully been abel to genetically modify certain foods such as corn to make it resistant to pesticides or insect infestation, crossing entirely different foods from different kingdoms has not been done, nor will it ever be done.  Genetically modified foods, which I refer to as frankenfoods, are the results of scientists playing around with nature.  However, this practice is the result of gene-splicing and not inter-species crossing.  Nor is this the result of hybridization, which requires two plants of the same genus in order to be combined.

Why the world-wide scientific community who deals primarily in algae have not come forward and spoken out against this is a mystery to me, but they need to in order to maintain and preserve the efficacy of algae strains.   I call on them to do so.  If we do not properly identify strains of algae then the foundations of botanical science will collapse.  Anyone will be able to claim that their strain of algae is superior because of the changes they made to it, which they will not have to show scientific proof.  Without direct verification of the algae strain the commercial market cannot survive because there will forever be doubt about every strain of algae and what it actually is.  False marketing such as what is happening in this case must be stopped for the good of the industry.

It is the job of every detective to ask questions, something that the famed detective Dr. Henry Lee has failed to do job, which is to investigate.  While he is endorsing a healthy product, it is a product that misrepresents what is actually is, a combination of Chlorella sorokiniana and Spirulina plantensis and not a newly created strain of algae.  It is a that claim that must stop.  Here are a few of the questions Dr. Lee might have wanted to ask before he decided to allow his name and face to be put on billboards around Taipei, Taiwan promoting a fraudulent product called cryptomondales:

  • Where is the Certificate of Analysis  (COA) for this product and new species of chlorella?
  • Where are the high resolution 1000 – 30,000x photos of this new algae species?
  • How did they accomplish this incredible feat of crossing a green algae with a cyanobacteria?
  • Where is the  cryptomondales powder so that others may examine it?

Perhaps I am a better detective that Henry Lee or perhaps I am not willing to put my name on something that is being presented to the public and is a fraud.  I have asked for:

  • The true Certificate of Analysis (COA) for  cryptomondales and have only been offered a nutritional analysis for this product which is NOT a COA.  Each batch of the chlorella which we sell comes with a signed Certificate of Analysis such as the one we offer to the public. We are the only algae company on the market to offer a COA for the algae products.
  • We offer verifiable photos of our chlorella cell magnified 20,000x and a 10,000x magnified photo as evidence that our Chlorella product is broken wall Chlorella cell.
  • The scientific community must ask about who this algae was developed by and how such an incredible scientific feat was made possible.
  • If International Cryptomonadales Biotechnology Co., Ltd. offered some powder of this species an intelligent scientific review could be made and settle the question of what cryptomondales actually is.

To date, none of these things has been offered to the public by the producer or their spokesman, Dr. H. Lee.

When asked, International Cryptomonadales Biotechnology Co., Ltd. simply refuses to present them.   No explanation, no reason why, simply “No.”   Its distributors should also be asking these questions and demanding the authentication of its product.  They are essentally complicit in the fraud of what Chlorella Cyptomondale is.  The public is owed answers to the questions that have been posed here for without them there is no truth in advertising.

I have been hearing for years what a scam Ionized Water is.  I have heard it called “snake oil on tap”, yet no one has ever called for them to be removed from the market.  Alkaline Water, Alkalized Water, Kangen Water, Miracle Water, Micro Water, Ion Water, Ionic Water, Electron Water, Electrolyzed Water: It’s all the same.  Water that has been electrolyzed is most commonly called Ionized Water.  And for some reason there is a great deal of opposition to it.  Recently Dr. J. Mercola denounced Ionized Water.  Dr. Andrew Weil has also found some excuse to dismiss ionized water.  In fact, he did it twice.  I am not a “believer” in Ionized Water anymore than I am a believer that the world is round and not flat.  To have a belief Ionized Water and its positive effects on the health of those who consume it is a fact and not a “belief”.  It is a fact what ionization does to the pH, ORP and structure of water it ionizes.  I don’t have faith that raw fruits and vegetables are healthy for us, I understand it as a fact.  The same is true for Ionized Water.  I wrote the book on it.

To be perfectly honest with you it boils my blood to hear http://watershed.net/Water-Ionizers/, the healthiest substance we can possible consume, described as snake oil and a scam.  The main reason is because this kind of thinking plants doubt into the minds of so many people that it leads them to the decision never to purchase a Water Ionizer, never to drink Ionized Water, and never to make a part of their daily lives.  To me, Ionized Water is the bread of life.  I thrive on it.  As you will see below, none of the detractors of Ionized Water have ever consumed it or bothered to measure it’s pH or ORP.  If they did, they would find Ionized Water to be the healthiest substance we can consume.

I am considered a “crank” by some, which is aptly defined by Mark Twain as “a person with a new idea until it succeeds.” Without fail, there are those who attempt to debunk great advances in every scientific field and Ionized Water is no exception.  Continental plate tectonics was ridiculed when it was proposed by Alfred Wegene in 1912.  Now it’s established fact.  The same will be with Ionized Water.  It too will one day become established fact taught in every school. Debunkers suggest that the ionization of water simply isn’t possible.  One debunker states that Ionized Water should be dismissed simply because it is too good to be true.  Others state that ionization is impossible to verify when in fact its properties are demonstrated using scientific measuring devices such as pH and ORP meters because the changes that ionization produce are radical, immediate and measurable.

Debunkers contend that most new health technologies developed outside of the traditional medical establishment are worthless and have no value beyond their hype.  They claim that nearly every unusual invention that doesn’t easily fit into the framework of conventional thinking turns out to be yet another urban myth that needs to be debunked.  And if something that they have denounced turns out to have merit, not another word is ever said about it and the debunker’s web page is quietly removed.

What health debunkers do best is plant doubt in our minds when we are trying to search out the truth about breakthrough health devices.  It’s easy to be a skeptic.  It’s difficult to blaze trails and fly in the face of every conventional thought and precept science has established.  It’s hard to believe in something that you discover and want to be true when someone with a scientific background who claims to be an expert is soundly denouncing it.  It is even harder to believe in things that others are ridiculing.  Debunkers have a chilling effect on open debate because of the way they often scoff at the technologies they are challenging.  Their attack on new health technologies that have not been conducted, sanitized and approved by the medical establishment often extends to the promoter of the new invention.  They become the focus of derision much the way Galileo was when he claimed the Sun was the center of the Solar System, not the Earth.  Debunkers ridicule those who have found a new path, uncovered a new truth and consequentially have surpassed an old belief system.  The water ionizer is a prime example of this kind of attack that stifles progress.

We tend to accept the denunciations of the debunkers because we want to believe that we can’t be so easily fooled.  We want to deem ourselves too savvy to be deceived by promises that sound too good to be true.   We enjoy hearing that ideas and inventions that may sound a little weird, or too good to be true, could not possibly be true.  Debunkers want us to believe that life is too harsh for good things to be true.  Life is too difficult for something like Ionized Water to be healthy for us and possess the miraculous health properties it is said to have.  And since someone with a scientific background has claimed it to be a hoax, it must be one.  Thus, we doubt and dismiss it, exactly what debunkers want us to do.

Debunkers tend to be heavy on opinion and light on the facts.  And they often present their opinion as fact.  They are sometimes chemists or chemistry professors who understand book chemistry, but don’t seem to comprehend the simple chemistry of Ionized Water, that of charging water by creating negative ions       (-OH) and positive ions (+H).  Nor do they understand how these ions are created by the simple process of electrolysis then separated through a membrane.  It is not difficult to understand Ionized Water, but it is difficult for some to accept that something so simple can have such a profoundly beneficial effect on everything it comes in contact with, especially our health.

I don’t expect that debunkers will ever disappear.  Ironically, debunkers’ websites are a good resource for groundbreaking technologies since they tend to dismiss anything that might possibly work.

The notion of having people around to challenge the traditional conventions and new inventions is a good one because there is plenty of fraud in the world.  Debunkers, on the other hand, are often something different than those who expose charlatans.  Debunkers stand in front of progress by denouncing and ridiculing any radical new concept.  However, armchair investigations and conclusions drawn from them will never replace field testing and something debunkers almost never do is conduct their own legitimate scientific investigations.

Debunkers often ply their trade in order to protect the status quo and the safety it provides to those who are afraid of the future and the change that it inevitably brings.  Debunkers sometimes serve no other purpose than to confuse us regarding complex issues, which is especially disappointing and destructive when it comes to natural health.

When a radical scientific concept is first introduced, there is commonly resistance to it by the prevailing scientific community.  New ideas are generally ridiculed and derided because they make people uncomfortable.  Scientists don’t want to accept new ones because their life’s work is based on the foundation of these old ideas.  They become particularly defensive and resistant when the new ideas destroy, override or completely supersede the old ones.  Often, the members of the established scientific community must die off so the next generation can be raised with the new concept and accept it from the beginning without any unnecessary bias and hand-wringing about what they once embraced as the truth that has now been superseded by the next wave of scientific discovery.  With the coming of the next generation, the new concept will no longer be regarded as radical, but rather another stepping stone to understanding the whole truth about health, nature and the very essence of human existence.   The acceptance of Ionized Water is yet another stepping stone that cannot be ignored because it is a critical component of health.

A considerable amount of research has been conducted on the effects of Ionized Water, most of it by Japanese researchers, which should be no surprise since they have embraced the concept of water ionization more than anyone else  (Appendix 5: Scientific Studies).  All of the research done on Ionized Water has arrived at the same conclusion: Ionized Water benefits everything it comes in contact with as long as it’s used correctly.[i] Physical scientific measurements, not conjecture, demonstrate the properties of Ionized Water. With this hard evidence in front of us, there is no other conclusion to reach than to claim that the properties of Ionized Water are best described as simply miraculous.

The strong detoxification effects of Ionized Water alone are enough to demonstrate that it is not like any other water you will ever consume.   This is due to the small water-molecule cluster size.  How water molecules group together is another thing that debunkers claim can not happen, thus it is so much more quackery.  This conclusion is reached despite the fact that a substantial amount of scientific research has been done on water molecule clusters.[ii] Water-molecule cluster size is measured by using a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance device.  We can also determine the change in the surface tension of Ionized Water, which is measured in dynes.[iii] A lower surface tension demonstrates the existence of smaller water molecule clusters.[iv]

Debunkers do not accept the basic concept of positive and negative ions and how they affect human health.  If they did, they would understand how important it is that we put alkaline substances in our body. Those who would attack Ionized Water and claim it is a hoax do not understand the value of consuming substances that are negatively charged and possess negative ions.  By their own admission, those who debunk Ionized Water have never consumed it, claiming there is no need to because the concept of ionizing water is impossible to begin with.

Debunkers are part of a faux-intelligentsia that does not believe in field testing before they arrive at conclusions.  The truth is that field testing often reveals many things that formulas and theories written on paper could never have predicted.  Examine debunkers and their methods closely for they are self-appointed watchdogs.  The methods of debunkers are never based on scientific evidence, but rather their own personal interpretation of the science they are debunking.  Debunkers, more often than not, need themselves to be debunked.  This has never been truer than when it comes to the debunkers of Ionized Water.  They don’t understand the simple truth that ionizing water takes it to a level of health many times above that of conventional water.

Astaxanthin is derived from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis

Astaxanthin is a red colored carotenoid pigment that naturally occurs in most marine crustaceans and some species of fish. It is responsible for the reddish tinge that usually accompanies these animals, a prominent example being the pink colored flesh of the salmon fish. Salmon has been associated with numerous health benefits; in turn some of these have been traced to astaxanthin. Some of those mentioned benefits are in the areas of eye health, joint health and heart health.

  • Astaxanthin has an antioxidant action up to 500 times that of vitamin E, which has led some experts to term it as “Super Vitamin E”.
  • Astaxanthin is the most stable antioxidant. Typically, an antioxidant becomes unstable after quenching a free radical, and in the process becomes a free radical itself. However, astaxanthin due to its unique molecular structure that allows it to span the cell’s lipid bi-layer and also because of its long double-bonded chain, can stabilize free radicals by adding them to its structure, rather than sacrificing an atom or electron. This makes it a better antioxidant than others.
  • Astaxanthin’s low molecular weight and unique structure combine in allowing it to cross the “Blood Brain Barrier”, and the “Blood Retina Barrier”, making it available to the eye, brain and central nervous system. This helps alleviate oxidative stress that has been shown to contribute to ocular and neurodegenerative diseases involving memory loss and vision problems.
  • Astaxanthin exhibits three types of isomerism. They are the 3S,3’S, 3R,3’S, and 3R,3’R stereoisomer’s. Of the three, the 3S, 3’S isomers are the most stable and is believed to be an adaptive feature to be able to store astaxanthin in tissues without excessive oxidation.
  • The 3S, 3’S stereoisomer is the main form found in Haematococcus pluvialis, synthetic astaxanthin contains the 3R 3’S isomer, which is not convertible to the more common and natural 3S 3’S form. Therefore, Haematococcus pluvialis is the best source of astaxanthin for human applications
  • Astaxanthin has been studied to have very powerful anti-inflammatory properties, hence enhancing its function in eye, heart and joint health.
